yodel 0
I'm looking forward to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory... Time Burton and Johnny Depp is usually a good bet. The trailer looks out there.
Yuki's Passion 1
Is that a remake of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory?
mfurmane 0
Yeah, I think that is a remake of the old Gene Wilder version...gonna be hard to beat I think. I saw Anchorman last night. Second time. Not quite a gem, but entertaining. Don't know what else to say really, except, "Stay classy...world."
frannyo 2
Well not a remake of the movie as such - more a movie based on the original book.
klingon 10
I saw Closer at the weekend, enjoyed it. Natalie Portman is very nice. I hadn't quite noticed in SW.
Middleman C Charbroiled 2 0
I've just seen Kingdom of Heaven, was ok. Gladiator like, but not as good. Anyone else looking forward to Batman Begins?
2pints-mate 0
Batman Begins looks promising actually. I know someone who has been to an advance screening and they said is is way different from the over the top of the other Batmans, more realistic. That Watanabe fellow is in it too. rach 1
I haven't been the the cinema for ages, I really should go.
Yuki's Passion 1
cheers Furm - Id like to see Anchorman too. Looks pretty funny. Im waiting for Star Wars and W.O.W. to go to the theater. Hate paying 1800 yen for a flick in Japan
AET 0
1800 sucks hey. At least the place near me gives me "points" and they have some discout days as well. I saw Kingdom of Heaven, not really my type of film. It was ok, nothing more.
grungy-gonads 54
I actually enjoyed Gladiator. Russell Crowe was good, music was good. Actually lots of Ridley Scotts films I have liked. Not sure about this Bloom fellow in Kingdom of Heaven though. It looks like a retread. If this new Batman is more serious and realistic, what are the reasons that man puts on a silly suit with pointed ear thingies and pretends to be a bat??
brit-gob 9
Sin City, really good that one. C&TCF looks good as well from what I've seen.
big-will 7
I saw Sin City over the weekend, it was good better than I expected actually. It's worth a watch. Kingdom of Heaven wasn't.
HoTRoD 2
Hotel Rwanda. Intense it is, but glad I saw it.
NutteyCubey 0
"Moog". A documentary about Mr Moog, the guy who invented the Moog synth. Curious little film, interesting if you love the subject.
amandanism 0
im want to see "lords of dogtown" i re-watched its documentary significant other (dogtown and z-boys) today and im interested in seeing how it translates into a feature film with actors.
sakebomb 0
I was checking out the Lords of Dogtown website, looks pretty good. It seems to have everyone from the Z Boys doco helping out- Tony Alva, Jim Muir and Stacy Peralta (who wrote the script for this one).
veronica 2
Supposedly the Batman movie will explain that grungy. It seems to be getting some really good reviews actually. Out in Japan next week as well I think.
minus 1
Really looking forward to that as well, the reviews have pretty much all been good well the ones I have read anyway. Hopefully it will go a long way to erase the memory of the just awful last one.
Wizz 11
Looking forward to A Scanner Darkly - rotoscope animation, "live footage overlaid with animation to create a kind of moving graphic novel". Even with Keanu Reeves in it, sounds good.
happyhappy 0
Anyone seen Charlie & the Chocolate Factory yet?
Plucky 0
I watched 'Constantine' last night starring Keanu R. That was a very entertaining movie! I'm not Catholic, but I enjoy seeing other interpretations regarding the mythology of the religion. The whole lucifer/God thing was compelling. For a keanu film, two thumbs way up!
