mina2 6
"Pans Labyrinth". Disturbing adult fairy tale it was described as.
grungy-gonads 54
Borat. Highly recommended, very funny. I want to see that Pans Labyrinth, looks interesting.
BagOfCrisps 24
I saw Borat recently too. I laughed a lot. How can anyone possibly be offended by any of that?
slimeypete 0
Pans Labyrinth was really good, I enjoyed that. Has anyone been to that Iwo Jima movie yet? I suppose lots of it is in Japanese and there won't be any subtitles for us... might be a problem.
Roger's head 0
I watched Green Mile last night. I really liked it - quite slow paced but then again the time slipped by quickly. I still prefer the other Darabont directed Shawshank though, excellent movie.

She'll be a DVD job for sure.
Kumapix 0
I'm sure Iwo Jima is way better than 'Yamato' the film I watched last night. Anyways, I had trouble understanding it as it was all in I think Hiroshima-ben and there's lots of military jargon. btw I didn't think Yamato was good
merryJim 1
Yep it will have to wait until overseas DVD that one I think. I am interested in seeing it though, that along with the other one they made side by side.
bushpig 0
you could try the old dl trick for the version with subtitles.
bobby12 0
Sometimes when you DL a movie, especially if you use a japanese P2P program (ah I remember the good old days of winmx - you could get anything on there), theres no English subs. You can often DL the subs seperately and play them together with a decent media player. I think these two offer seperate subtitle file function: windows media player replacement BS player subtitle downloads googles offerings a decent one
bushpig 0
use bit torrent and you usually get dvd rips from the states with the appropriate subtitles. Used to have those kinds of probs with the old gnutella network but most good bit torrent sites now are pretty good.
Curt 1
Watched a good one this week - "The wind that shakes the barley". It's a Ken Loach movie set in 1920s Ireland where workers are uniting to face British squads that threaten Irelands bid for independence. Lots of anger and tension.

mattlucas 0
I'm really embarrassed to say it but I saw Borat a few days ago and quite enjoyed it
SirJibAlot 0
Rambo (it was on TV the other night). Kind of funny when you watch it now - based in Afganistan during the soviet invasion - lot of parallels to the current situation there. -SJA
LiquidX 0
The US vs John Lennon. Not such a brilliant movie as such, but an interesting story of how he got on the nerves of the US government. Ono let them use lots of unseen footage in there as well, which probably accounts for the maybe one-sided look at Lennon.
zebedee 1
Nihon Jinbotsu or whatever it's called - the disaster movie where Japan gets destroyed by volcanoes and earthquakes and 1 member of Smap saves the day.
its-a-clock 0
I watched The Guns of Navarone over the new year. Good movie that.

snobee 0
Finally caught up with da vinci code. Hard tale to tell. Far too much "stuff" to deal with in 2+ hours. All a jumble.
brit-gob 9
The Great Escape. I watched it last week for maybe the 15th time. (What is Christmas without The Great Escape). Still a classic movie.
Roger's head 0
Pans Labyrinth - interesting and strange. Not usually into that kind of movie but. Also saw "Roswell" on tv last night which was very average especially considering the subject matter which is very interesting.
