Schneebored 0
The new Black Keys album 'Brothers' is worth a listen...although I am loving Dan Auerbach's 2009 solo album 'Keep it hid'. Mellow...with some nice raw blues. A proper album, not a collection of singles with filler.

METAL 0
Kind of digging what I've heard of the new Linkin Park album. Sounds different from them but more like the earlier stuff than the last album.
METAL 0
Oh, and Iron Maiden too.
NoFakie 45
I don't know the album well but this is from Frankie's Liverpool album. Sounds a bit Cafe del Mar well before all the balearic and Ibiza chill thing. Apparently they were offered "Slave to the Rhythm" but knocked it back. Its one of my fave 80s hits. pie-eater 207
Heard that too. Trevor Horn was one of the main reasons for the success/sometimes goodness of Frankie. I remember all those remixes of Two Tribes. Mad it was, they seemed to release a new 12" every week. Perhaps my memory is fooling me there
@tokyo 14
Iron Maiden, they still churning them out?!
gnarly-dude 1
Shoujou Jidai ROCK! Actually, the music is shite. But they are hot. As so many Koreans seem to be.

big-will 7
Let's remind ourselves of the lyrics for The Headmaster Ritual: ---- Belligerent ghouls Run Manchester schools Spineless swines Cemented minds Sir leads the troops Jealous of youth Same old suit since 1962 He does the military two-step Down the nape of my neck I wanna go home I don't wanna stay Give up education As a bad mistake Mid-week on the playing fields Sir thwacks you on the knees Knees you in the groin Elbow in the face Bruises bigger than dinner plates I wanna go home I don't wanna stay Belligerent ghouls Run Manchester schools Spineless bastards all ... Sir leads the troops Jealous of youth Same old jokes since 1902 He does the military two-step Down the nape of my neck I wanna go home I don't want to stay Give up life As a bad mistake Please excuse me from gym I've got this terrible cold coming on He grabs and devours He kicks me in the showers Kicks me in the showers And he grabs and devours I want to go home I don't want to stay... On a different tack, this is not the best sound quality, but is perhaps the best performance of one of my favorite songs of the past few years: At least listen through Tony Grey's bass solo. grungy-gonads 54
Interested to hear that new album. I quite like some of their stuff, even liked some of Fort Minor which is getting into stuff I normally don't touch. Mike Shinoda seems to have some real talent.
kkk 7
I kind of liked the first 2 Linkin Park albums. The new one is surely taking the piss. It's got about 6 half-baked and for the most part tuneless tunes on it, with lifeless "instrumentals" in between the tracks, along with lots of famous (?) and very annoying speeches. The speeches are annoying the first time, can't imagine having to listen through that lot many times. Very very bad idea. The whole thing is laughably bad. What the frick happened?!
