Zer0star 0
nothing wrong with a few hours on a good game. i have over 27 days of play time on COD4 multiplayer! now that's a little worrying..
RobBright 35
awesome man - simply awesome
klingon 10
I've never really got into FPSs at all. What would you say was the best one?
Zer0star 0
Call of Duty 4 - would have to be the best. Any other shooter feels clunky after playing it. It's so smooth. Any of the Call of Duty series is a good buy.
RobBright 35
Woo - really wouldn't touch CoD - WoW - it 'cheats' so much it isn't even fun. CoD4 The Orange Box Really are the two you want.
Zer0star 0
Orange box is awesome, mcu more than just a shooter though. Portal is nearly worth just the admission. I don't mind the battlefield series either.
Zer0star 0
Rob- you ever play COD4 online thesedays??
2pints-mate 0
I have a question... do 360 owners all play with other 360 owners - and the same for PS owners or can you mix it up?
thursday 1
360 owners play with each other all the time.
RobBright 35
Na - sold the game before the wedding plans kicked in as I was clocking up stupid amounts of time on it. Thursday wishes he was a 360 owner as noone wants to play with him. Not even the little retard that everyone disowns wants to play with thursday.
hellyer 216
There's nothing wrong with playing with yourself, and no I don't wear glasses.
RobBright 35
And for risk of facing the wrath of sj and co. - play asia are having a sale at the moment, if you use a visa card, you get 20% off games that had been released 30days ago or older.
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted August 30, 2009 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted August 30, 2009 No wrath here, Rob. Might even use it myself.
Sciclone 2
Nintendo make their consoles annoying. DS Lite's are fiddly little buggers to fix (especially compared to PSP's) while the Wii's are a pain... just to get the main cover off, there are 12 screws.. then to get to the motherboard, there are another 12 or so screws bolting the motherboard covers down... then 4 heat sink bolts, which you will inevitably cut yourself on when you try to pull it off (the heatsink, not the screws).. So people... don't engrave the bottom of your case, or else when you trade the console in, some poor bugger in a repairs area has to pull off 28 or so screws just to replace the bottom.. grungy-gonads 54
You want to get to the motherboard?!
Sciclone 2
I fix consoles for EB Games (as well as play test them all day)... fortunately most wii's suffer from laser problems first, rather than mother board errors, but there are certain things you can do/fuses that can come loose, so if you resolder or bridge them, then you can get a virtually throwaway console working after a few easy repairs.. griller 9
I just play games on them.
klingon 10
Do many people send consoles back to get fixed then? I'd be interested to know what the main things that need fixing are?
