A friend of mine works at a gas stand. I asked him and he said he did have some "training" on the shouting/greetings. He said you get used to it and fall in with the way of doing things after that initial "training".

Where I used to live, when I first came here, I used to take part in local things like matsuri and events but in my new place it doesnt seem as friendly and no-one seems to know much about each other. I'm not as keen to put out either, matsuri fatigue perhaps. So do you take part in local events?

It's my understanding (yak connections excluded) that short of a contract ending, a landlord has no leg to stand on regarding evictions. ..... unless the guy has done something disruptive. That's where all the "aimai" might come into it. I had a friend who was basically evicted (very politely) without much of a reason. He looked into legal things, but it seemed like massive hassle and just decided to find somewhere else (better in the end)

Is the pass mark higher for more difficult the test? I thought it was all 70% pass mark.

I flew BA last week. Not long haul, but they weren't very good. And the stewardess I had on my aisle was too big for the aisle. She got in the way.
