  1. Those were the days. Didn't experience the peak of it thankfully. I'm sure the ski resorts look back fondly though.
  2. Hate it when quantity is reduced as a way of increasing prices without actually increasing them. Favourite restaurants cutting sizes is particularly annoying. I'd rather they put the price up, or gave us the choice of a larger size.

Minakami - playing in snow / childrens areas

Don't know about the other two, but a friends family goes to Norn for the children area. It's pretty big by all accounts and they can do some fairly decent skiing at the same time.

    Steep in Hokkaido

In the Niseko topic I just mentioned I can't get past the lack of steep there as much as I loved the snow. I was wondering. Are there any ski-jo in Hokkaido that have a good bunch of steep runs to enjoy?

Niseko - what is the appeal?

When I went the snow was really great. But with Niseko I just can't get past the lack of steep.

    Gassan - worth a shufty?

I went up there a few years back in... I think it was late June. It was a fun day though I wouldn't take new gear! Different mindset required to winter season of course. And as someone else mentioned, Zao is a good place to visit any time of the year.

If you're a fan of the original Alien film, the new PS4 game is brilliant.
  10. That's funny, I wonder if anyone actually does that!

Watching the parents gradually get less mobile is saddening... for them and for me a look into the future.
