pie-eater 207
The smell just makes we want to hurl. It's one of those "Do Not Pass Mouth" things. Disgusting thing. Banned from this thread!
thursday 1
no way! Marmite is a class act. Rach will have to rule on that.
Jynxx 4
Bull Shit. Shouldn't be in this thread in the first place. Marmite doesn't taste like what it was in the 60's It so salty and harsh. VEGEMITE RULES and PROMITE goes well with Avocado on bread.
BeerTengoku 35
Depends which version of marmite you had - the British one or the New Zealand one. Vegemite - pfft. Piss weak, for weak arsed people, with wimpy weak taste buds. But that explains Australians perfectly.

pie-eater 207
You are so right there. No-one seems to be able to make roasties like my mum. They are incredible. Restaurants do seem to find it impossible to get them right. Gravy too.
Tubby Beaver 209
think its because restaurants buy frozen roast potatoes instead of making them fresh. Well they always appear to be of the semi-cooked frozen variety. Also for really good roast potatoes, you have to cook them with the fat of whatever it is you are also eating....usually they are cooked with the chicken/turkey/goose etc sitting on top of them or the juices of a lamb, ham etc poured ver the top. Unlikely that restaurants would cook them together
thursday 1
not a fan of potatoes much.
