66jzmstr 0
The new Metroid game just came out for the Wii, and many reviews are calling it the best Wii game yet. Can't wait to get it!
muikabochi 208
When is that out in Japan? Can't see it on the list.
66jzmstr 0
IGN has a Japanese release date of 12/31/07, but they've been wrong in the past.
klingon 10
Just in time for Christmas!
muikabochi 208
I don't get why there are so big gaps in release dates. It can't just be translation issues. It's not as if there are too many games flooding the market at the same time either...
66jzmstr 0
I hear ya' there. I know there are some gaps due to differences in distributors and localization issues toward the end of production, but four-month gaps and larger seem off. Hopefully it comes out sooner for you guys!
Girl 0
My bf has got one of the Wii things, I had a go on Resident Evil (?) that was fun. Tennis is a fun as well.
klingon 10
Doubt it but... with the others they arent region coded as much as Wii games. As far as I know you cant play overseas discs on a Japanese wii.
grungy-gonads 54
You can't. I think. PS3 is all unlocked. I think. Some X360 is. Many Asia games (English) can be played on Japanese x360. I think.
NutteyCubey 0
You are right. For PS3 and X360 get imports from somewhere like playasia (they have on each one whether they are locked or not)
2pints-mate 0
But remember, the PS3 doesn't have any games yet. It's only been out nearly a year - give the poor thing a chance!!
klingon 10
Had a good go on SSX Blur on the Wii this weekend. Good game. BUT - after the visuals on the other hidef machines it looks really out of date already. If only the Wii had slightly better specs. Another year or so and it is going to look ancient. I suppose it will be time fir Wii 2 then.
66jzmstr 0
Yeah, now that Nintendo's got the market back (and some sites even report the Wii already outselling the 360, despite the latter's one-year headstart), hopefully Nintendo next gen console will have all the positives of the current Wii but with true next gen graphics. The new Super Mario game coming out in November has absolutely incredible graphics though. Hopefully that'll open the eyes of some third party developers to stop making Gamecube graphics games for the Wii. (My new Metroid game has killer graphics, but I've got to finish a few other games before I get to it.)
klingon 10
Anyone go to Tokyo Game Show? Never really got into Metroid.
scouser 4
Can the public go to those things? Otaku heaven. I wonder what the line outside looks like - mix of geeky otaku and cosplay hotties.
klingon 10
Booth babes!

klingon 10
They. Need. Games.
frannyo 2
The games I have enjoyed on them most (friends machine) are the simple download arcade/psn games. Some of them are real fun. Many of the main games now require huge amounts of attention and control which I don't have. Short sweet blasts of fun are, well, more fun.
NutteyCubey 0
Some of those are good - especially on the 360. Not the retro untouched ones but the ones that have been given a polish of hi-def. Jet Pac, a few shooters etc. PSN hasn't really gotten off the ground yet.
klingon 10
"Video game Halo 3 earned more than £84m ($170m) in sales in its first 24 hours on release, according to Microsoft." WOW. Anyone got it?
thursday 1
Halo 3, heard lots. But quality comes at a price. Good luck to em.
klingon 10
Theres a downloadable ski game on PS3 right now. 800 yen I think. Was quite fun when I had a go, but only 2 long courses I think.
sanjo 2
Friend has Halo 3. It all looked rather complicated to me, however pretty. I prefer tetris.
muikabochi 208
Very difficult. not into that at all however pretty it looks. The xbox seems to be full of that kind of fps game.
