scoobydoo 0
So its bonenkai season again. I've already been to 2 - one I wanted to the other not so keen. I got really wasted at that second one and actually ended up enjoying it. Theres a few more I 'should' be going to but I'm going to have to invoke the excuse clause and try to get out of them. How many you going to this year?
indosnm 0
none, unless I arrange it. I usually only have one with good friends which is always enjoyable. Coz I work for myself I don't have work ones.
powwwers 0
so far just tha one, on Nov. 25th. its actually a local bar/shop`s `end of year party`, so it should be good. no doubt there`l be a few more closer to chrissy...
sanjo 2
A lot have been cancelled around here. Hard to party when there's all those homeless just down the road. The ones that are going ahead basically to support to enkai business people.... those guys are hurting too of course.
zebedee 1
I went to one last night - the only one that I am really supposed to go to. It wasn't too bad, but I'd rather have kept the 6000 yen, stayed in and gone out with my own friends at my own choice. At least I don't have to go to any more unless I want to. echineko 1
I went to one last night, I&m really tired feeling today. I will go maybe 1 more with work and then a few with friends.
veronica 2
Just the one that I feel I have to go to. I can put up with that. I have some Japanese friends who seem to be at one almost every night. Apart from the cost - it must be very tiring!
rachael 0
3 bonenkais this year that I should be going to - and I probably will. Only have to pay for one of them myself
TheOrange 0
Monthly meeting today, enkai tonight. At least tomorrow isn't a holiday so I don't have to go to work early with a splitting headache. Thats just the pits - having to put up with annoying people and loud people when you have a headache is not good.
yamayamayama 2
Absoltely none that I must go to but I will be off to one tonight with a select group of colleages that I like. Biggest problem I have is that they cost a packet and I end up hardly eating anything because I hate the food.
yoroshiku onegai shimasu 2
Last night. They ALWAYS choose a weekday night.
akibun 0
None that I must going to. But I will go with friend for informal party.
xxx 2
One and only last night. Just got up now. Wasn't too bad. No more needed now
ian.f 0
How much do you seem to pay for these official things? They seem to be 5000 or 6000 yen here, seems a lot esp. for what I get (or dont get as the case is)
scouser 4
Got my work one tonight. What a goddam awful day to have a piss-up - Monday. What are they on?? Oh well, it'll be headaches and irritable moods all round tomorrow no doubt.

taguchi 0
I will be going to four, two I want to go to the other two I'm not so keen about it.
joshnii 2
My place had one last night, it was a fairly low key do as they go but ok. The place was happy to have us there, seems a lot have been cancelled.
slow 0
I hope that I can escape from my team's Bonenkai. I spend too long time with my colleagues everyday. To work with them is fun for me but I don't need to have a drink with them. I'm going to another bonenkai with my local friends. I like Bonenkai with my good friends at home. I can drink a lot! Davo 1
Haven't been to any official bonenkai for a long time. I refused to go 3 years in a row at one place-none of the other foreign teachers went either. Might go to one or two this year.
pjem 0
I avoid them if I can too. Nothing worse (well,...) than going to an enkai you don't want to.
KlingKlang 1
All these are a bit early aren't they? Not even December yet......... my main one is on Dec 14th
scoobydoo 0
I asked the same (about them being early) - they said there was a "hard enkai schedule" and so they were done kinda early.
