yoroshiku onegai shimasu 2
I think I recall a thread like this last season. Interested to know just how much your winter sports season has cost you, all included.
daver 0
i didn't have to buy anything new this year so it was reasonable. but the lift pass was a waste of money. but i have kinda destroyed my G4s and a new ski is possible for next year. the ogasaka E-Turn SX looks sweet but pricey. so next year could be a big spending year. gnarly-dude 1
Too much! But I've enjoyed it.
tsondaboy 0
From rough calculations I would say 350000-400000 yen. The problem is that I am still spending, so who knows what the figure will be by the end of the season.
muikabochi 208
Less than 50,000 yen. Hardly any transport costs, no accommodation costs, only a few lift tickets
snowboarding-sam 0
Probably around 200K for me. I'd be interested to hear the adventures of the over 1m guy/gal?!
base40 0
About 150,000 for me I reckon this year.
snowboard 0
Most of my cash goes on travel and some stay overs. I am dreaming of living near the snow before December comes round.
WantToSki 0
i started only this season, and counting in the lessons, the wear, the tour costs, miscellaneous expenses, the DVDs and books, etc. hhhmmm... somewhere around 300,000 to 400,000 yen... i just envy those who live near ski resorts... 97 0
Nothing. (But I think my dad might have spent quite a bit!)
veronica 2
Not sure and not sure I want to know. Probably around 200-300 thousand. All finished now though until next season I think.
WantToSki 0
if i only live near those ski resorts it might have been cheaper... however, tokyo is what pays me to eat, and ski... i guess no choice... shoganai...
fukdane 2
Less than 100,
snowbender 3
I don't count.
kintaro 0
Cheapest season ever. 43,000 for season pass, maybe 20,000 for gas and highway tolls, 13,000 for new gloves.
big-will 7
Probably about 200000 I suppose.
me jane 0
Been avoiding this thread cos I didn't want to think about it. Still haven't calculated - but less than last year I think.
Yuki's Passion 1
<500,000 7 people <1,000,000 1 person Even More! 1 person for the 9 people who spent that much how did you do it? Ive skied roughly 40 days this year, live far from the mountains, bought a season pass, and didnt even get close to half of that amount. Thats impressive
WantToSki 0
well - i just started this year and never really knew the good deals, so i just spent money here and there. i also had private lessons as much as i can during each trip. i also bought some instruction DVDs, some ski accesories, clothes/wears, boots, a ski, etc. however, i would assume that next season would be much cheaper. cal 6
Probably I know I spent more when I first came here. Not that much this season
mattlucas 0
I'm not sure how much I spent But it's not that much Pretty average I think. No big purchases. I only bought new goggles, skins and a used backpack It's easy to cut down on costs when you brown bag it everyday, don't pay for lift tickets, live close to the mountains and have a cheapish place to stay
Fattwins 0
i dont worry about how much i spend cause i create a budget. also i have good car pooling friends and that has helped big time
Kumapix 0
I spent nearly nothing last year and a mint this year. I got so much new stuff, but it will last me a long time. I don't worry too much about the money since I live for snowboarding.
Yuki's Passion 1
>I don't worry too much about the money since I live for snowboarding. Yeaaaaaaahhhh - I hardly spend much money after winter finishes and save it all for next winter. Traveling this summer will cost me some though.
