nagpants 1
They're out here too now. One sign I hate each year is when those screaming insects come out - signalling the beginning of the heat.
ThisCharmingMan 0
Is that semi? When do they start to appear?
slow 0
I heard many frogs singing last night in Hayama. Beautiful countyside and nature refreshes me!

Thunderbird2 0
Very relaxing. Too bad they're replaced by them whizzing semis faitly quickly
Oddbod 0
When do the frogs stop then? After a few weeks is it?
Roger's head 0
What I want to know is - how many of the things are there? Sometimes they are deafening. Is it really hundreds and hundreds of the little things frogging about or not as many as I might imagine?
Ocean11 0
Go down to the rice paddies in the evening with a torch and sharp eyes. Listen for one voice and then point your torch at it. You'll soon find one little critter. If they suddenly stop when you approach, croak loudly and they'll all start up again (truly, it works). You'll find that there are hundreds of them. I've never been able to find the ones that make the deep mooing sound though. I reckon you'd have to run into the middle of the rice field to see one of them.

barok 0
It`s all I hear in the evening - Where I live I am surrounded by rice fields, haven`t gone looking for any yet though. Although I do like green frogs, I don`t see the point in looking for them.
nagpants 1
I know what your saying, barok. I'll just leave them to it I reckon

Ocean11 0
Today I went lamping frogs with H11. We caught (and released) about six frogs and one crayfish. I bet the frogs don't like sharing the same space with crayfish...
zwelgen 0
I was cutting the weeds in my garden yesterday and something H U G E crawled out of a patch of weeds. I swear if it was bigger than my hands clasped together! It brought out a "what the..." and I realised it was a big ass frog. Huge. Brown. Maybe its the type they call mountain chicken...? cakehead 0
Are they still at it? I thought the noises were mating calls, but with them shouting their 'eds off all the time, does that mean that they are the unsuccessful ones or what?
