It was spam's (email spam's) birthday yesterday.

Email spam is named after the monty python sketch 'spam' (where a salesman tries to sell people spam all the time even though they dont want it).

I used to like spam fritters (spam tenpura) in school. Mmm....fattening...

I have to agree with Cheeseman. We used to love having fried spam with Kraft Macaroni & Cheese when I was younger. Not too nutritious, but a good bargain meal.

Not too sure if I'd order that now, though...

I have always had an innate dislike for junk food, and I think this stems partly from my alarm at being fed spam fritters at primary school. That pink rubbery meat-based object whose artificial colouring had been adversely affected by the heat, coated in a dripping brown carapace... they do not look good.

I have no problem with meat in a can, and I like a bit of aspic jelly to go with it. But in Japan, spam not seen. Tinned bees children yes, spam no.
