Number 4, Thunderball tonight.

I like it. Underwater scenes drag a bit - and its a flipping good job that the baddies wear black and the good guys wear orange! - but other than that a very good one that I haven't seen in a while.

The 30-40 minute documentary with each are interesting as well.

You Only Live Twice next. Aki!

Any of the early ones. The opening and closing credits were the highlight. A hint or glimpse of booby to a 13 yr old boy was ...... WOW.

Tomorrow Never Dies.   I actually liked this one more than I remembered as well though the last bit is meh. And Jonathon Pryce was indeed a rubbish baddie, him playing with that mobile keyboard ann

The recent Bondathon results are in!   And here they are.   Most enjoyable films: You Only Live Twice On Her Majestys Secret Service The Living Daylights Casino Royale   Favorite Bond: Roge

I kinda dug Goldeneye for the most part but PB's flicks just didn't have that classic Bond vibe going on.

They were just cheesy I thought.

I like Daniel Craig even with the poor last one. Looking forward to checking out Skyfall to see if they can bounce back, I'm sure he will be great with the right story and mood.

On Her Majestys Secret Service last night. Oh yes love that movie.

And I like George, wish he had stayed on.

Didn't know that the filmmakers actually made the helipad and associated up at Piz Gloria. Sounds like when they found it, it was still being built and they did lots of the work and then just handed it over to be made into the restaurant after filming.

Perfect location for a Bond baddie of course.

Denise Richards?! Surely you jest? She is probably at the very bottom of my list just for being so utterly rubbish.

Was watching Diamonds are Forever last night and Jill St John was way more tasty than I remember he being.

Must put my mind to top 3.

Skyfall is getting some stonkingly positive first impressions from people who went to the advance press night.

I'm going to avoid detailed story reviews, I want to go in knowing as little as possible.

I read one said 100 times better than "Quarter of Salt" which sounds good to me.

Very encouraging, expectations have really shot up now.

(The only downer with bond enthusiasts seems to be that they have kept the traditional gunbarrel opening at the end. Seems a silly decision, but not a deal breaker.)

Graham Norton @grahnort

Bond is back!!! Skyfall is perfection!!!!!

Vassos Alexander @VassosA

The new Bond film is tense, thrilling, tremendous. Funny in places too. Bond back on form #skyfall

James Mullinger @jamesmullinger

Well, Sam Mendes may have created the best James Bond film ever. After all the photocalls & hype, Skyfall somehow exceeds all expectations.

James Day @James_Day_Metro

In case you’re wondering the new Bond movie #Skyfall is really quite superb

James Robertson @_JamesR

Just watched James Bond: Skyfall. IT’S F’IN AWESOME.

Hari Patience @Hari_P

Was just one of the first 1600 people to see #skyfall. Does not disappoint. Can’t reveal much due to spoilers but 10x better than QofS

#skyfall did actually joss a few of my personal canon bits about Bond. But I can’t tell you what as there’s #spoilers

Nihal A @TherealNihal

Bk to an old school Bond film, Bardem is brilliant. References to old school Bond but felt a little too long #skyfall #makeupyrownmind

Rupert Bhatia @alfredooo

So the new bond film is different… big change of direction. quite good though.

Olivia Osborne @livsosborne

Just seen #skyfall brilliant. Bond is back

Louise Pepper @loupepper

Just saw #Skyfall LOVED IT. Don’t read any spoilers or reviews just GO

Niall Doherty @NiallMDoherty

Skyfall was amazing. Best film I’ve seen this year (yes, even better than TDKR) and poss my new favourite Bond film.

Becky Sunshine @Becky_Sunshine

#Skyfall is totally bloody brilliant. There it is. Not going to spoil any surprises, but def worth seeing!

Skyfall isn't strictly a "Bond formula" movie, there are no hollowed-out volcanoes, killer satellites or plans for world domination, instead it's more in the vein of the personal, character-driven outings like On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Casino Royale.

Well, there was a plan for world domination in OHMSS and some pretty spectacular locations.

Thats just being picky though.

But I would like a crazy world domination secret lair kind of story... next time please.

Great post and interesting to hear about the behind-the-scenes shenanigans with Lazenby and his sharks agents. What a classic example of mis-management and a real shame, as I loved OHMSS and thought he was a good replacement for Connery.

Top Bond girls? That's a difficult one but it has to be Famke Janssen aka Xenia Onatopp in Goldeneye for her, umm, how can I put this, thigh-crushing abilities!! ;)
