I don't think Licence to Kill was bad as such, it just wasn't very 'Bond'.

Perhaps similar in that way to Quantum of Solace.

Actually watched Licence to Kill last night.

 

I actually enjoyed it. Not anywhere near as good as Living Daylights and not enough Bond to it, but it's not terrible - just not a particulary good Bond film.

Like Question of Sport, I suppose.

 

I wish Dalton had done more, he was good.

OK we'll folks I watched Skyfall yesterday.

 

It is indeed a very good movie, I really enjoyed it a lot.

So so so so much better than Quiche of Salad, though of course that in itself isn't saying much.

Craig is excellent, what a great Bond he is turning out to be, and the baddie is pretty greattastic too.

Really quality stuff.

 

Personally, next time I would like to see just a bit more Bond elements into the mix, but perhaps that is the plan here.... at the end of Skyfall, our man Bond has finally become the fully formed Bond we used to know. (That makes more sense perhaps once you have seen it!)

Glad to hear all the good reviews and reports, pretty much most people seem to be saying its a really good film.

 

I loved Casino Royale, disappointed with Quiver of Silver.

I watched Licence to Kill recently, I thought it was pretty decent really. Sanchez was a good (realistic) baddy. And the exploding head was good.

Nice eye candy ladies too, though the dark haired one's 'acting' was pretty hilarious.

Actually I really enjoyed it, more than I remembered.

It's a really good Bond film.

Very probably PB's best, I'll evaluate after I watch the next 3.

 

Up next, the wonderfully-titled ( hmmm ) Tomorrow Never Dies with, if I remember correctly, the rubbishest baddie in a Bond film.

I actually liked this one more than I remembered as well though the last bit is meh.

And Jonathon Pryce was indeed a rubbish baddie, him playing with that mobile keyboard annoyed me as much as I remembered!

 

But PB was good to watch for the most part.

 

Up next The World Is Not Enough. I know for sure what the highlight of that one was, and her name was Sophie.

Sophie has to be one of the most of the Bond ladies. Oh yes.

 

The Christmas Jones character is just bloody awful.

 

But on the whole I enjoyed that too actually.

Dear oh dear, what a mess. It's trying so hard to tick all the boxes but comes off as an (unfunny) parody.

It's not all bad, but there's just so much to dislike.

The biggest thing being Halle Berry. Annoys me intensely.

 

On to Casino Royale next.

Yes a big difference.

 

Casino Royale is a great film, I really like it. I really like Craig as well, he really brought it down to earth.

 

Shame about QofS, but that's next up. Let's see if I enjoy it more than I did!

I watched Casino Royale again this week. It's an excellent movie I love what they did with it.

 

It's hard to compare something like Moonraker with that isn't it. They are just so mad different. But still... Bond.

 

Even with the poorer last one, I think Craig is going to become the best Bond.

Jury out on that but definitely the potential. He did a brilliant job in Casino Royale. I'll give Quantum a watch over the weekend then I'll pass my verdict on some "Bests" after this Bondathon is complete.
