Popular Post muikabochi 208
There's no doubt that Mt Granview is one of the Japanese ski resorts to watch in the run up to the 12/13 season. After some epic days out this season by various members on here, including myself: http://www.snowjapan...at-time-forgot/ http://www.snowjapan...difference-etc/ .....it's definitely one of the most talked about. And for once the reality lives up to the hype! Endless powder, 7 (!) lifts, bottomless conditions guaranteed, friendly staff and everything else you could possibly want to let your ski dreams come true... it's got it all! With that potential gondola tie-up with local Ishiuchi Hanaoka on the cards and a location right in the middle of Paradise Alley, it's set to be one of the new Mega Resorts in Japan. This thread will hopefully keep us all up to date with the latest Mt Granview news, as it comes in thick and fast. Here's a few pics from today: The Ice Monsters from Zao take a trip to Paradise Alley as they have heard so much about Mt Granview. Next season look out for them firmly planting themselves at Mt Granview. Feel free to share other Mt Granview news and photos if you happen to come across any in this (hot) topic.

tokabochi 9
I'm sure it was you, muikabochi, who told me that you could rent the whole place out for 50,000 yen. True?
muikabochi 208
I'm pretty sure that's what it said. Amazing deal if true.

muikabochi 208
grinch,... but, but..... it's all true!!! I think it's becoming increasingly obvious that some of the Hakuba gang are getting quite nervous and spooked out about the mightly competition posed by this emerging new kid on the block. BagOfCrisps 24
Super mature. Cheese discussions go here, mate: http://www.snowjapanforums.com/index.php/topic/10523-cheesemans-cheese-of-the-week/ Talking of which, I had some extra super mature cheddar last week and it was just getting a bit toooo strong and smelly for my liking. Mick Rich 78
Super mature. Super post! And back to topic, perhaps we could have a day-meet then? Mick will probably cough up half the cost. I like the first half of that idea!! I'm guessing that there's little or no cherry blossom-viewing possibilities at the big G but we could always have a summer picnic in and amongst all the heavy construction machinery! SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan#Andrew 6 Posted April 10, 2012 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted April 10, 2012 At the risk of making some of you Granview fans really jealous, I can see Mr Granview from both my living room and bedroom windows. How about that then? It probably explains the high cost of living in this neighbourhood though.
Mick Rich 78
We will therefore look forward to your weekly updates on the progress of all the construction work!!
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan#Andrew 6 Posted April 10, 2012 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted April 10, 2012 I'd love to Mick, but they have the whole Alley signed up to NDAs. I might try to seek a few anonymous tips every now and again, though. Gambarimasu!
muikabochi 208
Sadly I don't have those views, but I'm not under NDA either! I'll be sure to leak all the news.

muikabochi 208
Will do, though I'm not sure that something this expensive can be called a toy actually, Mick! Might even try to get some 'mature cheddar at mt granview' shots for the cheese at resorts thread.
scouser 4
Might even try to get some '(im)mature cheddar at mt granview' shots for the cheese at resorts thread. There, I changed it for you, muika, perhaps grinch feels that is more appropriate
Nisoko 6
grinch,... but, but..... it's all true!!! surfarthur 22
So how big of slice of Niseko and Hakuba's business is Mt G expected to get? must surely have tourism operators in those areas shaking in their boots
