BagOfCrisps 24
Good for you BM! Do you come from somewhere that is similarly hot?

Thundercat 60
Yeah I'm from Canada. I think it may have something to do with spending so much time outside in the summer. I've gotten used to this weather...
Go Native 70
It's been the hottest summer I've ever experienced up this way. In fact I reckon we could be heading towards the hottest summer on record in parts of Hokkaido. Still not as hot as down south but as virtually none of us up here have AC it's been a little uncomfortable.
Nisoko 6
Yes it has been hot and not very comfortable. Some people will no doubt be wondering whether to get aircons or not.
pie-eater 207
Around 20 here every day. In one of those big domes of the Eden Project today it was well hot. Reminded me of Japan. Got very sweaty (not my pic)

Go Native 70
Nope very few of them do.
Nisoko 6
As Go Native said not many. Lots of people have fans. An aircon would have been good this summer thats for sure.
Go Native 70
Last summer I only had to use a fan in the evening a handful of times the whole summer. This one I've been using one most nights for the last couple of months. Amazing the difference between this and last summer.
scouser 4
What are the locals* saying of this GN/Nisoko? First time like this or other years when it has been as hot? ( I mean, the Japanese long-timers, if there are any left )
Slippery Jim 65
I'd say hottest summer in about five or six years; hoping it means a long, cold, snowy winter for a change.
Tubby Beaver 209
do think its been as humid as other years? i think its been less humid than normal, temps have still been high though
snowdude 44
Certainly has been the hottest summer for some years, more like when I first came to Japan. Today is also very humid here, in fact I think today is the most humid day we have had all summer so far, more like being in Tokyo today than in the Yamanashi mountains! Slippery Jim 65
Seemed to me July was hotter but a little less humid than recent years, this past week the humidity has been very bad.
muikabochi 208
Keeping hot here in the evenings. I'd at least like it to start being more comfortable overnight. I just hate waking up sweaty.
Slippery Jim 65
Hugely humid walking home from station again tonight...but, that's August in Tokyo. The temp was probably a tiny bit lower than average. Not early enough to check out if there was a view of Fuji, but with this much humidity I have to doubt that. (Add ``sweaty'' icon here) Fuji was JUST peeking its head out last night at sunset. Usually in August its very rare to see Fuji at all, but this year there have been plenty days where Fuji is visible from the beach. The sunsets have been pretty spectacular as well
snowdude 44
Unbelievably hot here today and super humid, even here! Today is the hottest day of the year here.
