oblivion 5
Some dude was knocking on my door at 7am this morning and I was none too pleased - hoping to have a lie in. Reminded me of a 'Curb' episode talking about acceptable times to call both in morning and evening. What do you think?
me jane 0
Depends... if it's the postman bringing Christmas presents, or a delivery company bring something I ordered they can call anytime, but if its someone selling religion or newspapers or hustling for NHK then never would be a reasonable hour. Anyone else can come between 10am and 8pm.
7-11 2
I reckon 9am and 9pm generally. (I'm sure everyone takes it as given that religion/papers/NHK saddos are a no go at any time of the day).
snobee 0
Preferably daylight hours ( after 9:00am). Unless it's an obvious gift, long awaited mail order or news of my soon coming Jumbo lottery win.
sakebomb 0
I had some dude banging on my door at 6.00am one day and asked me if I was Okusadasan.... 1. I have a sign outside my door advertising my school with my name. 2. Do I look like Okusadasan NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! damn I was unhappy! After 9am is OK!
muikabochi 208
9 - 9 Any earlier I'm not in the mood to speak.
dale#1 1
I'm usually in no mood to speak to outsiders (!) after 9, seems a reasonable cut off time.

Davo 1
One of the good things about my old apartment was the security camera which showed me who was buzzing downstairs. If they weren't in a takyubin or posties uniform I wouldn't even bother answering. Unless they've got a legitimate reason for coming round they're not welcome. I was pretty annoyed when some god botherers woke my girl up by buzzing the bell a while back.
1 4
I wish I had one of those camera deals, that would be sweet. I lock myself in all the time now after having a few ojisans barging in after knocking and waiting all of 2 seconds.
rach 1
Anything before 9 and after 9 I will ignore unless it's something I'm expecting.
cal 6
I got a takyubin once come at 10pm which I thought was pretty late. What time do those guys continue until? I usually call my friends around 10pm - the only time to get them in - so I'm ok with late calls from friends.
joshnii 2
People knocking after 9 get ignored for sure. My friend have a knocking code as well, so I know if it's them or not.
klingon 10
If the phone rings really late at night, I always automatically seem to think its some kind of bad news.
grungy-gonads 54
Ladies are welcome to call after 10pm.
brit-gob 9
I think takyubin go on delivering until 10pm (maybe just things that have been specified for the 8pm-10pm slot? not sure)
ug 0
Yes they do - I often ask for that time if I order something to be sure I'm in. Takyubin is a fantastic service.
sava 0
If somebody calls me before 9am they get a few choice words.
oo 1
I had someone call on me once here at 6am. I'm just glad I don't live where one of my friend does - 50m from the "town morning call siren" that goes off 6am every day including holidays. That would seriously piss me off.
