Until now I have been snowboarding, but this season I've decided to buy a ski set and start skiing. I've gone and kitted myself up (well almost) and ready to give it a go. It looks fun and it'll be great to be able to do both. Wish me luck.

I went to 3 different shops over the weekend and each one told me different things about how long my ski poles should be - when holding them the lower part of my arms should be level / slightly up / slightly down. I'm interested to know what skiers on here think and how big their ski poles are compared to body. Cheers
