I was at Iwappara today. That place and many others it seems in the Yuzawa area were very very empty. Garagara I think they call it. Snow was pretty crusty. The ski patrol guy I spoke with said that the next dump was due on the 27th.

My Japanese friend went to Kagura and regretted it. Blizzard like conditions, too windy, lifts moving slowly (or stopped). He said though that when it clears it will be sweet!

Hey, yesterday a teacher friend pointed it out to me in the local newspaper - there was an interview with the main Snowjapan guy (Andrew?) on the radio here last night in Niigata. I gave it a listen - good nihongo there, man - couldn't understand much, but seems they were talking about the site and the internet and stuff. Seems it continues tonight as well Good on ya!
