We're definitely into spring territory now! But the season goes on

Yes. I saw a documentary on some of the squeaky voice training they go through a while back. It was quite an eye-opener. For some of these departo store workers and the like, this is a major part of their job/training - or so it seems.

I could only see it on a pretty shitty local cinema (not sure you could actually call it a cinema!), so I wasn't able to appreciate all of the effects and everything - and it had me bored. If you liked the 1st one, I'm sure you'll want to see the other two just don't expect anything as unique.

I actually like them - gives me quite a lot of long weekend and breaks up quite a few monotonous weeks as well.

Does ANYONE even vaguely like those singing smarmy cheesy moments in ceremonies like this? I guess I'm just the wrong nationality. I find it difficult to watch without feeling embarrassed.

I'm up here north so don't know that much on Hakuba, but I often hear that Happo is "skier orientated" - and a review I just read also said that. True or not? And how so?

Still happens here. After a short while its ok again, but sometimes it does cut. I have asked a few times about this, and they even came to check the connection - with no luck.

Many smaller places up here seem to be going all family in their operations as much as possible, there was something on the local tv news about it all a while back. It seems that is the market some of these places are concentrating on in an effort to expand their business. (Whether its a success or not, I don't know).

Sorry to hear that, I had a similar situation last year. This won't help you so much in your situation, but I took mine to a specialist sports shop up here and they saw to it. Did a good job too.
