Getting your song as the theme to a popular drama seems to be a huge business here. I think I heard that popular artists are contacted to specifically make the songs for a future drama - must be worth a whole lot for them.

The one in central Niigata (Bandai) sucks. It has the same premium prices and premium plastic/paper cups. But its in this square tiny room with absolutely no character with about 10 tables packed in the middle. Awful. I've been in some that are really nice, but stay away from this one. Didn't they used to give you mugs all the time? It seems to be paper cups now unless you specifically ask for the mugs.

Best bet is Arai or Kagura. Going over to Fukushima might be ok mid-season, but not now - and the snow will almost always be better at the 2 places above...maybe just a bit further away.

Very spring like in Shiozawa today, was at Joetsu Kokusai. Like late-March conditions.

Apparently it was about 15 degrees in Niigata city today. Quite warm in Shiozawa too at J Kokusai.

I was at Joetsu Kokusai today. Busier than I thought it would be, the place is really big but badly planned and the lifts are slow. But it's not the gold course some guy said on the review section - I'll do my own review later. But lots of the snow was really dirty looking - not with soil (there was enough snow), but with what looked like sand?! My Japanese friend said something about sand coming over from China.....hmmm....

I have to take my cables out of the PC and put them back in for it to work again.

What exactly is the different (in simple layman temrs) between 2D and 3D animation?? I've been listening to some of the Futurama commentaries and they keep on going on about it. The 3D bits look better, but I'm not exactly sure what the actual difference is? Anyone know? Cheers PS Futurama commentaries excellent by the way, very funny

A warm one today

The most I've had on my car is about 60cm - that was one time we spent the day at Kagura last season, early Jan I think it was. 60cm had fallen from when we got there at 8am to when we got back to the car around 5pm.

I've always wanted to experience South America. Has anyone ever spent much time anywhere down there?
