  2. Thats pretty much the way it goes. Ridiculously high rates even if you just call it for a very short time. I thought I heard they were trying to pass laws on that though so it couldn't be done?
  3. I've had a few and seen a few Japanese deal with them as well. Ultra polite, didn't just tell them to bugger off. Result? They were talking and listening to sales talk for 5 mins or so. I was there saying like just tell them to bugger off will ya? A sales call late in the evening/night certainly is not on.
  4. No idea how reliable it was but I read that Msoft were not releasing numbers for online users in Japan. Rumor has it it is in the "low thousands". Poor effort.
  5. Admirable the way every one in Japan sticks to the garbage rules and separartes everything out. I like that.

  8. I had a bag missing for 24 hours with JAL. The bag didn't get the same connection I did, they weren't keen on telling me where it went. Got it back ok in the end.

  17. They get by - thats it. They are usually the ones with no Japanese friends, almost not living in Japan but in some gaijin-exclusive building/area --- missing out on most of the experience of living in Japan.
  18. The difficulty of relationships makes them all the more fun (?) and ultimately rewarding when you get that successful one.
