My favorite line is "Hey baby, your daddy must have been a theif, cuz someone stole the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes . . ." Can`t you just see the mulletted, mustached, camaro-t-shirt-wearin` hero whisperin` that gem to the bleach-blonde feathered haired, leather miniskirt wearin` knockout at Stucky`s Roadhouse ? . . . . . . Favorite course is the big sequence at the 47 park - big kicker to big kicker to gap to kink rail - 60 seconds of adrenaline.

Reiko - probably the best Keiko - also good Misa - is a cute name Minobu - not sexy at first, but gets stuck in your head

How much did you spend then?
barok replied to ice0's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
With season pass, new board, bindings, jacket, gloves, season pass, and about 8 day passes, along with gasoline, and the car, whose sole purpose was for snowboarding, plus the new hat, wax, scraper, and probably some other stuff I am forgetting, I spent about . . . . . .a bajillion yen, but it was money well spent. -
oh yeah www.robotfood.com

I couldn`t check this vid, as they said they are offline, due to too many downloads er sump`n, ...but.... If you are looking for a good, no! make that great snowboarding video, or even if you aren`t, I HIGHLY recommend robotfood`s "afterbang" title - it is just so progressive, and the soundtrack kicks ass - along with "Destroyer," it is my favorite video.

What's the worst hangover you've ever had?
barok replied to badmigraine's topic in General off-topic discussions
Best cure for a hangover then ? I usually just start drinking again if it is that bad - The hair of the dog that bit you will get you through. Some weeks, it is better just to not stop drinking at all. -
knees are stupid, and when somebody has a monobrow, I can`t take my eyes off it, it`s just so strange. Mustaches on girls are pretty strange. That said, they are pretty stupid on guys as well. Any mustachers in the hizouse ?

Mr. Eleven is right about the psychological importance of separation events, but it is not so much the thought of the event itself, but the actual separated material, that gives us the willys. Or is that Willies ? Some ancient humans learned quickly that released or dead human material houses a cornucopia of disease causing agents. If you drink the water downstream, you will get sick. Some other ancient humans didn`t learn this information, so they died. The result of generations of trial, error and learning gave rise to memes - I think the definition of a meme is a hardwired

yer DAMN right Indo` - I gotta get somebody here who is interested in cultural exchange to show me how to cook J-phood. Now for my part of the deal - I could show `em how to make corn-dogs, beer flavored bratwurst, beef jerky, hamburgers, meatloaf, mash-taters, cornbread, greasy fried chicken, sausage and gravy, yeee-haaaaaw! ! I could show `em how to shoot guns and spit tabaccy. How to rope cows and grow a beer gut - ahhh Americana.

"I prefer spring skiing"!
barok replied to JUSTIN's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
I don`t think she exists, the e-gal that is - It`s probably some 40 year old internet perv just inventing a personality to amuse himself. And I wouldn`t buy that "I`m shy." crap for a second - anyone else agree that that shpiel gets old fast? -
You can`t get decent mexican food here, at least not at a reasonable price and it`s a damn shame cuz mexican food is so easy - corn (tortillas), refried beans, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, hot peppers. - There are at least 2 or 3 items here that simply can`t be found where I live. And chips and Salsa for cripessake - it`s so freakin` simple - I should almost go into business making chips and salsa. What else - veggie burgers - I used to live on these damn things when I lived in the States, now I would have to do some stupid foreign buyers crap to get the goods - I`m way to lazy for that so

Your most impressive trick
barok replied to tiron's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
lousy fruitbooters !! I crush you with my superior flat board on two wheels thingy. My best trick on a skateboard - kickflips, and shove-it`s, ollie 180`s falling on my head, nothing cool at all. but loads of fun. -
I was there last weekend, and I can honestly say, I have never ridden on slower snow - in order to jump, you need to start from way up high, and just gun it all the way, no speed checks. It is just so sloooow, but still alot of fun. I like slush - it is as forgiving as powder, but against exposed skin, it hurts.

I`m pretty hooked on curry rice - but would never eat it during snowboarding - always after - like almost everytime - but it pales compared with Thai or Indian curry - I just don`t like most Japanese restaurant cuisine - homecooked Japanese food is great though!

barok replied to riddled-with-fun's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
the key to beating that trick nekobi, is just to go 3 times as big as you normally would when you are being taped. -

barok replied to IM's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry

What gets your vote as "most overused Japanese"!
barok replied to klingon's topic in General off-topic discussions

barok replied to trickster's topic in Snow talk, trip reports, Japan avalanche & backcountry
possibly. I would like to go, actually, let`s stay in touch about it, as I will be visiting Nagoya, and might come down to Kyoto for a day during Golden week, so yeah, I`ll bring my gear.
