yodel 0
Anyone else heard the new Metallica material. Phew, talk about angry. No more nice melodies and even semi-slow songs, no no they're gone. Total noise time! I think I prefer the S&M period to all this...
snowboard_freak 0
I like the old Metallica stuff. I haven't heard any of the songs from the new album but if they have gone back to their old ways then it can only be a good thing. All their latest stuff was utter crap.
big-will 7
Weren't they always angry??
brit-gob 9
Varying degrees of anger. Actually they got quite melodic at times. That S&M concert with the orchestra was....interesting.
brit-gob 9
Just heard a few tracks - very angry indeed. Good title too, St Anger.
slimeypete 0
Good stuff
indosnm 0
They have always been angry! They just lost it for a while and now it seems that its coming back to them.
scouser 4
Q Magazine says "they have never been angrier".
TheOrange 0
Nah, I liked some of their mellower melodic material.
BigSausage 0
Heard it. Great album! Great for the car.
cheeseman 1
Perhaps they couldn't get hold of their favorite cheese, hence becoming angry. It is understandable and I hope they are ok now.
frannyo 2
Theyve gone a bit too angry if you ask me
mattlucas 0
I especially hate metallica now. I bought some blank CDs the other day and had to pay a couple dollers extra because of there stupid lawsuit. So what if I want to burn music. Maybe they should be going after the big websites that hold there songs instead of the consumer. Why do I have to pay extra for blank CDs when I am going to use them for data as well. amandanism 0
i read somewhere that now metallica are putting up mp3's of some of there new stuff on their website the hypocracy of it all.
Will Lee 0
Back to da ol'school huh?! I myself no longer listen to metal but good for them!

scouser 4
Heard an interview with them in which they basically said "if we want to give something away for free - fine, thats our choice.... but don't steal from us"
OzOzOz 2
They're attaching a live DVD to the CD, all of the tracks on the album recorded live in the studio - great idea for fans.
pjem 0
Heard it - what a complete mess. It sounds like they went into a 4 track studio with a few ideas, jammed for a couple of hours - then recorded the thing. Just unmelodic loud noise. And I really liked them not so long ago when they knew how to make a song.
cheeseman 1
After posting the other day, I have listened to some of their new "songs". They certainly do seem to be angry. Give 'em some cheese! That'll cheer em up!
mogski 0
Saw the music vid on MTV the other day. Pretyy cool. They went all the way to that bad ass penetentary in the US there. St. something. Maybe it began with a P?
amandanism 0
St. Anger. i think it is a horrible song. the only thing cool is the drumming. thats pretty insane.
mogski 0
Yes St. Anger is the song, but not the name of the prison the music vid was shot at.
MetalHead 0
St Anger ROCKS!
