nori-chan 0
I like movie very much, especially thriller/suspense kind. What kind of genre do you like to watch the best?
damian 0
I just flew Air France out of Japan, so even the English movies were dubbed into either French or Japanese..... leaving me to contend with subtitles on what where actually English films. Cant stand subtitles so as an alternative I watched heaps of Charlie Chaplin flicks with no speech. CC films are now my fav type. Modern Times was the best one I saw. Best movie ever made. jared 0
ski movies shame I cant go see them at theatres as they are the one type of movie worth watching on a big screen with a good sound system.
nekobi 0
db- you seen any buster keaton films? seven chances (i think it's called) is good.
snowboard_freak 0
I love snowboard movies. But that goes without saying! I like a bit of horror. Especially in a nice dark house. Thriller's i love as well. Those with a bit of a religious charge are even better. Comedy's are not without their charm as well.
Stefan 0
All sorts of films. I like some Hollywood types, when Hollywood movies that are honest they are great. I like the realism of British and Australian films, my knowledge of French and Italian movies is rather on the poor side, shame on me. But to answer your question, documentaries or 'realist' films (kind of pseudo-documentary style) are my favourite type of genre. Just saw The Pianist directed by Roman Polanski.....horrific. Unfortunately the monopoly that US conglomerates have on production and distribution is strangling the life out of British movie making.
Stefan 0
Sorry...I mean 'horrific' in a good way. The films depiction of the Jewish Ghetto in Warsaw (1939-1945) horrified me, but when films are emotive, they get a big 'thumbs up' from me.
amandanism 0
i like alot of the movies that are shown at the sundance film festival. i just saw "thirteen" which is quasi documentary, over the weekend and that was an eye opener. i like movies that make you think, like memento and donnie darko. i like watching comedy if its with a bunch of friends. ug 0
A good courtroom drama is usually good fun. I have a soft spot for horror flicks too! ug
enderzero 0
I am pretty big into war flicks. Favorites include Thin Red Line, Apocalypse Now, and Full Metal Jacket. I also dig Samurai stories, especially Kurosawa's Mifune movies from the 50s-60s.
sanjo 2
I like a good comedy too. Anyone seen American Pie 3?
snowboard_freak 0
Yep I saw that about 2 months ago at the cinema. Not too bad for a teen comedy type movie. However, i didn't like the changes that they made to Stiffler's character - he was better in the first two.
grungy-gonads 54
What changes they make then? He was the best character....
amandanism 0
i heard it was pretty poor. like all the jokes are getting a bit old.
oo 1
I heard that too - hardly unexpected though it is?
snowboard_freak 0
GG - it's hard to put into words. He was definatley the best character in the first two. The way he talks and acts is just different. He's just not the same. It is set a year or a couple of years after the second one so that may account for the change. It maybe that they have tried to make his character more mature. It's definately not a good change though.

big-will 7
I like GOOD action movies, but there are so many duff full of crap ones about its often hard to choose. Sames goes with thrillers. Or any genre for that matter. Oops.
r45 4
I watched Halloween Ressurection last night - and it was utter drivel. What a travesty? I kinda liked the Halloween movies I had seen (especially the classic first), but this was just so so bad. Avoid it at all costs.

Stefan 0
American Pie is funny. I don't mind it, but as long as it's "taken for what it is". By that I mean that it's a pre-pubescent sneerfest. It's a trivial film, ok to watch when you want to disengage the brain for a while. But in general I like films that are challenging, intellectually and emotionally. I saw a film called MEN OF HONOUR the other day. Absolute patriotic-back slapping-pile-of sh't!!! Really made me wanna be ill.
