We got about 7 more months to go before there is a chance of some new snow coming down, so we better kill some time.

We have been through al time classic songs, songs we are not proud of, songs we are listening to right now, albums we think of buying (or downloading) etc....

I came across this article the other day, and i have to say We Build this City is plain annoying agreed.

Inspired by Blender's list i post my top 3 hate-song list:

1 (by far). What's Going On. Four Non Blonds

2. Nothing Compares To you. Sinead O'Conner.

3. Hotel California. Eagels

To qualify for Blender's list the lyrics have to be really stupid, and i admit the lyrics on my list are not "stupid"

just annoying

I choose to list only 3 annoying song, but the list goes on and on with todays stupid hits from

stupid "artists" like Britney Spears and all the idiotic boy bands, but the 3 songs from my list are classic hate songs in my book.

Thunder out

Push pineapple shake the tree. Black Lace are the artists.

And here are the lyrics in all their 'glory'. db will be karaokeing it as we speak!!

----

Agadoo, by Black Lace:

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple grind coffee

To the left to the right jump up and down and to the knees

Come and dance every night sing with a hula melody

I met a hula mistress somewhere in Waikiki

Where she was selling pineapple playing ukulele

And when I went to the girl come on and teach me to sway

She laughed and whispered to me yes come tonight to the bay

The lovely beach and the sky

The moon of Hawaii

The rum calypso sarong

We'll all be singing this song

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple grind coffee

To the left to the right jump up and down and to the knees

Come and dance every night sing with a hula melody

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple grind coffee

To the left to the right jump up and down and to the knees

Come and dance every night sing with a hula melody

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple grind coffee

To the left to the right jump up and down and to the knees

Come and dance every night sing with a hula melody

Then down on the shore

They gather romance

She showed me much more

Not only to dance

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple grind coffee

To the left to the right jump up and down and to the knees

Come and dance every night sing with a hula melody

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple grind coffee

To the left to the right jump up and down and to the knees

Come and dance every night sing with a hula melody

The lovely beach and the sky

The moon of Hawaii

The rum calypso sarong

We'll all be singing this song

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple grind coffee

To the left to the right jump up and down and to the knees

Come and dance every night sing with a hula melody

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple grind coffee

To the left to the right jump up and down and to the knees

Come and dance every night sing with a hula melody

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree

Agadoo doo doo push pineapple grind coffee

To the left to the right jump up and down and to the knees

Come and dance every night sing with a hula melody

Just found this interesting little tidbit about Jefferson Starship - the people we have to 'thank' for that tragic song, 'we built this city on slock'n'roll'.

And I quote their curriculum vitrae from their webpage, www.jeffersonstarship.com ;

"JEFFERSON STARSHIP, a collaboration of celebrated musicians that plays from the rich songbook of its legendary forefathers JEFFERSON AIRPLANE and the original incarnation of JEFFERSON STARSHIP, prevails as one of the most critically acclaimed touring acts today. Steeped in the fantastic realms of science fiction and the contemporary American shadowland, JEFFERSON STARSHIP features a stellar cast of old and new players, including songwriter/guitarist/vocalist Paul Kantner, vocalist Marty Balin, both of whom founded JEFFERSON AIRPLANE and were crucial in developing the renowned "San Francisco Sound" that changed the course of pop music forever."

Who would have ever thought these same people were responsible for such timeless 60's classics as 'white rabbit' ?

It's a kinda shame these guys were not in the same bathtub as Jim Morrison on that fateful night.....save us from all this built this city crap !
