METAL 0
Yeah, do share! Interesting to hear that they are actually trying to kerb all this.
connackers 0
Lokitorrents has gone down recently and has a fun message up: There are websites that provide legal downloads. This is not one of them. This website has been permanently shut down by court order because it facilitates the illegal downloading of copyrighted motion pictures. The illegal downloading of motion pictures robs thousands of honest, hard-working people of their livelihood, and stifles creativity. Illegally downloading movies from sites such as these without proper authorization violates the law, is theft, and is not anonymous. Stealing movies leaves a trail. The only way not to get caught is to stop. [END QUOTE]
nzlegend 1
hmmmmm "robs thousands of honest, hard-working people of their livelihood" downloading aside perhaps they should stop paying "stars" millions of dollars per movie and spending millions on crappy blockbusters and start producing low budget and well acted movies? So much bollocks comes out of Hollywood from shite actors who are overpaid. I am beginning to watch old school movies with actors who could really act and werent paid ridiculous salaries. Perhaps movie companies should make "legal" downloading of movies more mainstream.
frannyo 2
Thats creepy. (Not the movie star thing). I'm gonna watch movies that sound interesting to me, I do not care how much someone gets paid. I'm interested in whether its a good movie or not.
Siem Reeves 0
it was a pretty good movie... we watched it in our friend's van (which was parked next to ours) in the hachimantai carpark one night during our wee van camping ski holiday just recently.
Thunderpants 0
That is SCARY stuff! i don't want you to get extra scared, but sharing copyrighted material in japan is a criminal offence, they trow people in jail http://202.221.217.59/print/news/nn12-2004/nn20041201a9.htm
Thunderpants 0
interresting thing about these cases is that Columbia only has a screendump of your computer being online (ip adress and files you share) They dont know if you are actually sharing a fake!! and Stag, your case and all the other cases i have read about all over the world is ONLY about sharing, DL alone is not the problem, it is when you start distributing... Thunderpants 0
..almost forgot, when i was arrested for my weed-thing, the police also took my PC, i had lots of movies and mp3's on, unlicensed software and other bad stuff. they never said a thing... ATB TP

amandanism 0
with bittorrents i think you're fine if you just dont reseed stuff you download, because then thats sharing and distributing.
damian 0
I don't understand bittorrent, doubt I will ever bother. Stealing is just getting too geeky these days

Siem Reeves 0
the thing with bitorrents is that you can't avoid sharing, for example, if you leave the computer going while you are at work downloading... when it's finished, it just keeps sharing till you come home and turn it off. anyways, think i will avoid it from now on...
NoFakie 45
Incidently, Reefer Madness is in the public realm, i.e., there is no copyright on it.
flipside 0
All this is making me consider becoming a 'leech' and not share. I learned these phrases in 'geek-theivery class 101'. How do you stop the bitorrents? I'm growing paranoid.
sunrise 0
Just delete them (or take them out of your sharing folder)
fukdane 2
What the deedlings are bittorrents anyways
connackers 0
bittorrents are a way of file sharing. A way of getting music or movies from other people. Similar to kazaa but the method is a bit different. Here`s an article about a kid suing kazaa and even more bizarely sony because he didn`t like the quality of the files he downloaded! http://www.thegreenrabbit.ca/content/view/152/50/ Have a look at the comments also, it looks like cheeseman may have made an appearance.
