the snowboarding vicar 1
OK so I'm considering going somewhere this weekend, but I don't want to go if I'm going to be real disappointed. It looks like Hakuba is the best bet, but still not convinced it's worth it. Kagura might be ok but I bet it will be super crazy packed and that would spoil it. Any other decent options? Fattwins 0
IS it worth getting out of the city yes always
SirJibAlot 0
With only 4 runs open, I doubt Happo or anywhere in Hakuba is worth the effort. Any of you locals there in Hakuba disagree with me? -SJA

AK 77 0
I wouldn't pay for day tickets or pay for long travel costs to ride what is open now - 1000 vertical feet is 300 metres vert -thats sod all really. I would consider going somewhere just to get out of the city, if I had the spare cash. I will ride this weekend, both days, but only as I have bought a season pass and need the leg workout

rach 1
Summer is meant for --- not being in Japan. I can't stand it. I will avoid a Japan summer at all costs. The way things are going my new year plans might be up in the air as well. As EBC said somewhere else.... snow already
WantToSki 0
i just loved my weekend - skiing in Appi Kogen... initially with only 30cm of snow, i was really worried - i had no choice but to go because of the christmas celebration package tour we took... but lucky me - it really dumped saturday night, and by sunday morning, there was about 50cm of snow... and it just wont stop... Oyuki kigan 0
I had a great time in Nozawa. they only has a light dusting of snow (about 8 cm) on Sunday, but it was nice stuff. Even poached second tracks under the highest quad chair there. The next day it cleared up, got warm, and was abosolutely gorgeous. A good Christmas!
SirJibAlot 0
Happo was ok on Sat (apart from the usual homocidal out of control jokers using newbies as markers to ski around as if they were in the olympic Super G). Sun and Monday sucked....Today rain, tomorrow....SNOW? -SJA
