Kumapix 0
wow! 6 man for the h9!! get a d40 instead
SerreChe 2
Kuma, Seems the D40 is indeed among the most popular as a ratio of cost/performance. Originally I was looking at a POS, now D40. The more I investigate the less I know which one.
soubriquet 0
I've been round those circles and bought the D40. It's a lovely camera and I have no hesitation reccomending it.

Fattwins 0
how much is a d40
soubriquet 0
I paid 62,800 Yen in Denkodo. They are advertised much cheaper on the internet, but no-one had black bodies in stock at that price. Only silver, and I didn't want that. It's always nice to have something more upmarket, but if you're on a budget it's an excellent fully functional DSLR.
Kumapix 0
I could get one for 49800 before, but I'm not sure about now

bushpig 0
you're losing your hold on them kuma! Better start buying more stuff to get that negotiating power back! Got some good photo ops with the light yesterday afternoon, and took the new nikon lens out. But I shot it all at 1000 iso!! (was set to that from a very dark day of shooting our club game last weekend) So very grainy photos...
Kumapix 0
rookie move bp! are you sure you're man enough for the d300?? re: the shop. sheesh. I spent over 80man in that shop in 6 months and I still get no love! luckily, I don't need to get anything now.

Everyone we contacted responded: "available in silver, out of stock of black, no idea when new stock is coming". I read that as meaning the silver bodies are unsaleable dead stock. Perhaps you could get that price in black if you were to persist. I wasn't going to hold my breath, and I wanted it for the Thailand trip.

Mantas 3
What batteries are you guys using for your digi cameras? I cant find ones that will last a decent length of time. I'm lucky to get 20 photos out of one set of batteries. I think there might be something wrong with the camera ????
soubriquet 0
I'm using the batteries that they came with. Not disposables. I've run 150 shots off the Canon with no sign of running out. About 50 with the Nikon and ditto. If the camera gets cold you're not going to get much.
