I spent the last 3 weeks in hakuba at nicks(fattwins) place it was the time of my life... a 5 day stay turned in to 22 days. I just want to thank nick and the house for the great times on and off the slopes.

nicks pension is a really good place if your headed out there. i met lots of good folk there. never a dull moment. I even got to watch nick fall off his roof with a shovel and hammer in his hand!

Thanks Nick

Definition of pure honest well deserved envy:

- really cool pics,

- being able to ride with FT

- staying in Hakuba during an obscenely huge dump

- when all the Japan fun is over, going home to Whistler (!!) - look in the top left of the home pic, how close is that!

Great pictures and vibe.

(lucky prick)

(I have had too much coffee this morning and getting uncontrollable excitement rushes.)

Awesome, wicked photos mate some are so clear. respect1.gif

Thats what its all about right there in those photos. Looking just made me snow sick, one small pleasure is I recognise some of the lines in your photos and have laid some lines of my own down in the same places. I can almosnt see the ghosts of my lines in those photos cool1.gif

p.s I think you made Spud wet his pants.

the noboard is mainly designed for powder conditions, anywhere you can find them. i rode on happo and had the best noboard day I have had yet. Riding hard pack can be deadly because I have not yet figured out the toe side edge yet. My friend Cholo rips on one and is able to shred hard pack.
When ever i came across groomers I would head to the edge of the run or tobaggen it to the next soft bit of snow. in BC we use them with mostly snowmobile access areas, I know of one dude who did day of heli with one. they are super fun. And make you feel real good when you rip a run knowing you have no bindiing. there web site is www.noboard.ca japan is very ideal noboard terrain.

i should also ad if you want to see it in action there is bonus section in a snowboard movie "The Community Project". It has a tribute to the founder Greg Todds. who past on 1 year ago in an avy. He lands a pretty healthy one footed madonna over a road gap...It's awsome.

bitchin' pics my friend. So glad you made it back all right. Still waiting for the return date.......But I suppose the snow in Whistler is pretty damn good, but just think how early you have to get up to get that one, maybe two fresh lines.....The BEAST id still calling your name!
