ianbc 0 Posted January 16, 2006 Share Posted January 16, 2006 I spent the last 3 weeks in hakuba at nicks(fattwins) place it was the time of my life... a 5 day stay turned in to 22 days. I just want to thank nick and the house for the great times on and off the slopes. nicks pension is a really good place if your headed out there. i met lots of good folk there. never a dull moment. I even got to watch nick fall off his roof with a shovel and hammer in his hand! Looking just made me snow sick, one small pleasure is I recognise some of the lines in your photos and have laid some lines of my own down in the same places. Riding hard pack can be deadly because I have not yet figured out the toe side edge yet. My friend Cholo rips on one and is able to shred hard pack. When ever i came across groomers I would head to the edge of the run or tobaggen it to the next soft bit of snow. in BC we use them with mostly snowmobile access areas, I know of one dude who did day of heli with one. they are super fun.
