I saw a fluff piece on Japanese tv that said lots of people are going to be COMING to Tokyo this Golden Week, ie. tourist visit, rather than the other way round.

Whether there's any truth to that I do not know.

I'm going to the Hacienda Festival at Oiso Long Beach on Saturday, Peter Hook and various other ex-mad-for-it bods are playing over the weekend. Highlight for me is watching the Charlatans

That man comes over as more and more bitter day by day re: new order.

A messy mess, it is.

Interesting character though.

Look out for him singing with one hand in the air.... You'll probably see what I mean. ;)

And dont forget that if there are two national holidays around a regular day, then that regular day becomes a holiday too. :D

That's actually why they moved みどりの日 between 憲法記念日 and こどもの日. It eliminated a potential holiday. It used to come earlier in the week.
