yoroshiku onegai shimasu 2
Anyone got one of those tiny "netbook" thingies? The new Sony one is well expensive, funny stuff
brit-gob 9
Nice bottom that top one. Sexy as the machine may also be, that's expensive!
bobby12 0
ooh can you imagine sitting down with one of them in your pocket? talk about gutted...
thursday 1
I can imagine the only times you'd use a netbook would be if you went on Hols. At home you'd alreay have a decent PC, so you won't whip out the netbook.
its-a-clock 0
Or on the road, on the train, business trips etc.
thursday 1
on my commutes, I listen to the pod on my iphone and sometimes internet on it at the same time. No need for anything else, 'cept perhaps a coupla beers.
BagOfCrisps 24
I wouldn't mind something like that (but cheaper) for when I'm on the business trips etc. Something smaller than my main laptop which is actually pretty big.
bobby12 0
tiny laptops are bitches to use. id rather carry a bigger one, or just not bother taking one, even on a business trip I survive withuot.
klingon 10
Some are but some arent. That new Sony ones keyboard is actually quite comfortable to use. The screen - while extremely sexy - makes for small writing which might be a strain. I believe there is some zoom feature on there though.
hothead 0
I'll let you know how it is - my Vaio P series should be with me in 10 days. (Someone else paying for it)
klingon 10
Interesting. Tell us what its like. And if you put it in your jeans back pocket and walk round town with it?
eeeeeel 0
I remember when I thought the big Dells were really sexy looking computers! The bigger the better!
2pints-mate 0
Those new Sony things are insanely priced. Extremely sexy looking kit if you have cash to splash.
rach 1
What a strange advert! I know the point is "it can fit in a pocket" but a) it doesn't look like it actually fits in that pocket and what nutter is going to put a computer in their back pocket!
thursday 1
I think they purposely chose a boney ass for extra pocket space. And still it does not fit. The hardest part must be the tiny screen so squinting skills must be a pre-requisite. And tiny fingers for the keyboard of course.
veronica 2
Hows the iphone thursday btw?
thursday 1
It still works and does what I need it to do. Ipod, internet, and 3G calls etc. But there are fundamental mental blocks that Steve Jobs had in the features list. No SMS forwarding No video calls No flash support Ring tone handicap Bad bad battery Perhaps these will be fixed in an upgrade.
brit-gob 9
How long do you get with the battery?
thursday 1
with light pod use, and about 10 calls a day, and a few minutes on the internet (mobile betting, SJ etc) I can manage 1.5 days max. Leave it alone at weekends, it'll last Friday evening to Monday morning. Charging right now in fact. Can't wait for a much better battery, but they'd make people pay through the nose for it no doubt.
