  1. Would offer it if Dell enabled people to download the English MUI for Vista
  2. Just a quick heads up - if you can, try and get a seisho 18 pass, or some of the other passes listed on the jr homepage for foreigners visiting for a short time. If you can plan the seisho correctly, you can get from Tokyo to Sapporo in about a day for 5k or something! The JR east pass is also pretty useful too. Tains from Tokyo to Nagano - hmm there is the Super Asuza express that goes all the way to Matsumoto, through Yamanashi and Nagano.
  3. Agree about the trains but worth it for the smuggling of peanuts.
  4. Just called in sick so not that lucky - lost my voice :'(
  5. A big one in Yokohama, Hama Bowl, a massive 50 lane place with batting cages, was also knocked down a few months back :'(
  6. Would like to see Scolari's salary if they were prepared to pay Ancelotti a rumoured 8mil pounds a season
  7. the thing with this, as we can all guess by now, is that some people will always feel the need for alternate explanations or theories, maybe some of the info has been fudged but look at any major event around the world and there is ALWAYS a conspiracy theory. Believe what you want - for me I take both lines with a huge pinch of salt from the local izakaya and mix it all together.
  8. Am running this on a 24 inch screen and there arent any problems whatsoever. Soubs has just **** up
  9. Don't think they have one really. Unless when the currency changes - ie from imperial to the pound. Wasn't there a story a while back of a valuable, old stamp being posted on a regular letter? And if you need any proof, just check The Office with David Brent David Brent: In fact, a postage stamp is legal tender. A bus driver would have to accept that as currency. Tim: Yeah, that'd happen. Gareth: Well, if he doesn't, report him. Tim: Yeah, I'll report him while I'm walking home.

Rob - the trick is to make it sustainable. Mon - Fri stick to the meat and veg, and 3 protein snacks to ensure you don't go more than 3 waking hours without protein. Saturday do whatever y
  11. GB It's a tough decision to make - either way will affect you for life - I was in the same situation about a year ago. Didn't plan and was literally an accident - next time wearing two . Girlfriend and I talked for days on end, beating each other, and ourselves up about it, and we choose in the end to have an abortion. The most harrowing thing was how cold we were about it when we came to signing the papers - we just cut off our emotions and almost, for want of a better phrase, just got on with the deal and thought we could deal with it later. The worst thing was not so much doi
  12. Its a shame but have to say that Kagura seemed quieter this season than from what I have heard of previous seasons - and considering the amount of snow it had. Also don't forget conveniece [sic] - Gala thrives because you just walk off the shink and then jump on the gondola within about 10/15 mins. Other places just don't have that - places such as Kagura/Naeba, which are both great, take longer to get to, especially if you're using public transport, which whacks the cost up too.
  13. Annoying thing was that the stations were slow to reduce the prices due their comment 'we bought the oil at higher prices before the price came down so we'll sell it at the price we bought it at to make a nice profit' yet when the government whacked the price up - EVERY station went up on the stroke of midnight. I for one will laugh at these companies when the people they need for their business desert them.
  14. I like Vista, now REAL problems so far, not unlike with XP and trying to install a new internet company provider.
  15. Yeah, it was a crazy sight in London that day, offices and roads were jammed up with nowhere to go at all. Remember getting a phone call from my parents to get home as quick as I could to be safe. Scary to think about how that was 7 years ago now.
  16. Make that 7 now - proper shocked - like Klingon was there recently and so shocked about this news makes me sick.
  17. Tried doing this myself - went down from 100kgs to 95kgs in the space of two months - nothing more than about a lb a week maybe 1.5lbs - using meat and veg tactic - but trouble is I love food too much and am much happier at a higher weight - but even now people say I carry the weight very well and most people never guess am 97kgs now.
  18. Ok just got back from teaching the dude - so today's lesson was British History as I thought screw the English and lets get to the nitty gritty So I asked Tanaka what he thought about British history as he mentioned that he was an Anglophile (yes I know, stupid as it may seem after the last story) and thought that about 200 years ago, the British were kind and very 'gentlemenly'. I politely asked in what way did he think that the British were kind and to my aghast he said that they were very accepting of racial, and religious miniorites, in the Georgian era. I suggested that he might
  19. Funny story - well not funny but surprising Was teaching a doctor a few weeks back - we'll call Tanaka. Now anyway Tanaka and I were just talking abotu sports he liked and he mentioned he loved baseball. Fair enough I thought. Then asked him why he loved baseball. His retort was that it wasn't a sport that the British invented. Now had to correct him on this and he wasn't chuffed about hearing it and refused to believe me. Anyway, he then proceeds to say that he hates football. Again, understandable and wanted to hear why; over-paid prima donnas, diving, cheating or can't p
  20. Only just moved to this area - so doubt I have seen much yet - guess there is more to see but no time at the moment to do anything.
  21. Have I ever told you how much I hate you? Those are great views - especially the valley shot and the waterfall.
