I am beginning to learn Japanese! I am really enjoying it but wanna get up to speed really quickly. Has anyone any tips? I learned German a few years back and that was hard, but I am getting the feeling this is a whole new ball game. The other night I was telling a girl in a bar that I wanted to ride my cat to work. Anyone try the adidas sports glasses with optical inserts. I am trying to get contacts here so I can use sunglasses or goggles, but of course Japanese eyes are different and the makers cannot make contacts for westerners, sorry I mean foreigners. Is this true? It seemed like BS to me!

Yea I was working this summer in Germany during the WC. I have lived in Germany for 3 years so I was supporting them as I have many German friends. Anyways the crack was mighty, drink was flowing and there were plenty of pics. Around the same time I was asking if I could come back to Japan on secondment. It seems to me that Japan is about presentation i.e. showing on the outside what is not on the inside. Maybe some people are so insecure they need make up! Maybe it is just habit, and maybe we shouldn't judge what other people do! It is, of course, their face!! Lastly I am not saying that people who wear make up are insecure! Please do not take offence ladies! I think women without make up look better. A lot of guys seem to agree on that!!

Currently I am listening to: Trivium - The Crusade - some amazing songs but there are one or 2 dodgy enough ones. The ones that are good are class. Dragonforce - Sonic Firestorm - Kirk Kammet from Metallica called them an absurd band and he was correct. Still one of my favourite albums and if you like ridiculously long guitar solos, then they are the boys. Dragonforce - Inhuman Rampage - again as mentioned before.

Man I got so locked yesterday. I drank 2 bottles of wine in about an hour. Then back to Uts and more beer. Woke up this morning with all my clothes on and all the lights on in my apartment! Strange! Ashikaga was good crack!!
