  1. Thatz weird, I don't think they can actually make you pay! I would never pay it, I rather not go back to that resort again. in Colorado there are tons of other ski resort..
  2. check out www.mininova.org You can download tons of stuff there, and yes, PSP stuff too. ENjoy!
  3. not sure which I was riding last summer. But its the gondola that take you over Whistler mountain. Then you take a lift to go up on top, then near the end of the ride, there are the T-bars. But that day was so freaking hot & sunny. I guess it might be the Horstman Glacier like Toque say. It was still fun, but I like the powder during New Years at Whistler 100x better.
  4. I rode at the Whistler BC glacier last summer. Well it was good and bad. Good because you can wear T-shirt or no shirt at all! Bad part is the glacier melts alot! so the snow is very slushy and many wet puddles! so if you land ride over one of those, you are soak!!!
  5. I like happo & tsugaike more then Hakuba 47/goryu. Happo have longer runs! from the top dat is!
  6. I saw someone using one of those last weekend! They were having a lot of fun on it!
  7. Burton AK gore-tex soft shell jacket and T-shirt today at the slopes! On cold winter powder days, Columbia Titanium thermal tee and Titanium long sleeve tee and either my Burton softshell or my Columbia Titanium Main Man jacket.
  8. Nice outfit! Was dat at the Tokyo Auto Salon by any chance?
  9. StumpTown Coffee, its One of the BEST coffee house in Oregon! They imported the coffee beans from overseas. Expensive, but its the best tasting coffee. It was mentioned in Travel Magazine too last year. But then again, only people in the west coast can experience the refreshing taste of it.
  10. I guess I am the only one that like music in the background while boarding. Well it depends on what its being play, in America slopes they play Rap & R&B, but not too loud. So its a nice hint of music in the background. If you are not playing attention, you probably wouldn't even notice there is music. So it doesn't bug anyone else that doesn't like Rap or R&B. Too bad they don't play techno, that'll get the blood going better!
  11. ha..ha.. thats what I see everytime I am at the slopes in America. The neon is coming back in full force! Then super baggy is everywhere here as well. Surpise in Japan slopes not almost no one wears helmets.
  12. Like others have mentioned, your heel should not pop up too much. Your toes touching is normal, untill you break in your boots. If you tighten all the lace and your heel still can move up freely, then the boots are too big, if you can't return the boots to the stores, then wear an extra pair of socks. That'll help with keeping your heel down more, till you get a new pair of boots.
  13. reach 25 times last week at Whistler since the season started! Probably will hit 50+ by the end of this season
  14. I highly recommend the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel, one of the better hotel I stayed at in Japan. Location is great 3 mins walk to Shibuya station, great view and superb service. Hilton Shinjuku is also great, IMO not as up to date as the Cerulean. Mainly due to the hotel older then the Cerulean. But the rooms are much bigger. Gold Hilton members get free room upgrade and tons of extra service.
  15. Hi all I have a question regarding bullet train/subway to Hakuba From my research it seems that I could get to Hakuba by the following bullet train & subway. Shinjuku station to Tokyo Station: TOkyo station to Nagano via Bullet train. from Nagano station take the Shinonoi line to Matsumoto. Then change lines to the Oito line which heads north into the Hakuba valley. Is this correct? I assumed the Hakuba valley is the same drop off point, if I take the bus shuttle from Nagano station to Hakuba? Is that right? Thanks for your help
  16. Hey guys Just uploaded some pictures from my Whistler BC new year trip, overall it was pretty good. a bit of sunny and powder for the most part, the last day a bit rainy, but it was still all good. Tons of fresh powder. Enjoy! http://www.snowjapan.com/e/insider/photo.php?userid=advantyper
  17. You could check with your hotel, I am leaving my snowboard bag at my hotel till I check back in 2 weeks later.
  18. I got a Burton Red Model: Hi-Fi, one of the lightest helmet I ever worn. great fit and extremely light. They come in many different color and fabric wrap options as well. Price at only $100, well thats U.S. price, in Japan probably around $130 or so. Giro and Salomon helmets are great too, my friend got those brands and they love them. But they aren't as light as my Hi-Fi. These 3 brands I would recommend highly. buying any helmet from the brands above you can't go wrong!
  19. They have a 5 miles range, here are some spec on the CLS1110 model: 1 Watt UHF Transmit Power CLS1110 - 1 channel 56 built-in UHF frequencies 121 Privacy Codes No VOX Capability - See CLS1410 is VOX required. LCD Display with Battery Meter and Signal Srength Indicator Operating Range is up to 5 miles Includes Lithium Ion rechargeable Battery, drop-in charger, swivel holster Operates up to 12 hours on a single charge 100% Compatible with Spirit GT and GT+ radios
  20. I brought 5 together with my friends. Cost each of us around $70 each, they retail for $125 each. But they been replaced with newer model by Motorola. Brought them off ebay from a motorola dealer 2 years ago. I would check on ebay, since they are no longer being produce price for them should drop quite a bit. As for range they are pretty good, I could talk to my friends around Whistler BC mountain without any problem.
  21. I recommend the Motorola CLS1110, they cost more then normal ones, because they use 56 UHF business exclusive frequencies. Which reduce the chances of picking up other people's frequencies. The only downside to them is that they don't sell in pairs. I loved mine, ever since my friends and I each brought one to use at the mountains.
  22. oh really, that sucks! Hopefully the snow will be good during new years, when I am there.. I'll keep my finger cross!
  23. Hey Ricardo 80inches thats a ton of snow! I was in S.Korea two years ago for fun, the subway is so cheap and the food was good. In mid November to mid December, Mt.hood had superb powder and new snow regularly. But since two weeks ago, a lot of the snow from the storm all melted. Hopefully we'll get more snow soon. Looking forward to Whistler during New years, hopefully their snow is keep falling. Happy Holidays!
  24. Ricardo, u from Oregon? Must be a big change living in S.korea. But I read in magazine. S.korea ski resort is opening up all oover the place. have u try one of the resort there yet? thinking about stopping by S.korea to try it out next season.
