  1. Maybe I should re-consider the jaw! It's not definite at this stage, the entourage of dentists/surgeons want to see if my teeth will come closer again by themselves now the force of the wisdom teeth have been removed! It won't be cosmetic though, my teeth are about 2mm seperated all the way to the last 2 molers, so eating has become quite a chore with some foods. On a date with my now girlfriend at a cafe she said take a bit of her foccacia.. I took a bite, pulled it away from my mouth... and ended up with ALL the fillings hanging out of my mouth and two empty pieces of bread in my h
  2. I bet you can't cause of some farce rule created in the wake of terrorism. But I bet they still hand out metal forks in business class!
  3. Creek Boy, That sounds pretty gnarly I'm glad I was under general! Prior to getting mine out mum was telling me a similar story, she got hers out over 2 visits both under local with an entire class of med students watching and taking notes each time. I'm not keen on Dentists but i'll have to put up with them a bit longer, my jaw is getting broken next! A gap has formed b/w my lower and upper teeth. (Watch me try and eat a nori roll!) Nicole - Good advice with the constant ice, It's kept the swelling down heaps more than other people i've seen! Thanks
  4. Nicole, the wax is probably harder to get out becuase it's coloured and would contain dyes or scents!?
  5. Spectacular photos Ian! I hope we all get to experience something as awesome as you did this season!
  6. Got all four wisdom teeth removed yesterday under general anesthetic. I'm starting to look like a Walrus! Who else has had theirs out? I was a bit nervous before being my first time in surgery but it wasn't too bad, I kept focused on arriving in Tokyo in 2 weeks time and riding pow. So far no tooth fairy
  7. Or the same sakebomb said but with baking paper that worked on my jeans!
  8. Southpark did an episode on it, you can download that here - Episode 912
  9. Last season in Hirafu they had not much. Two flat rails and one rainbow shaped one. They also had a few table tops. I wouln't be fussed about parks when theres such great powder and tree runs, you can take freestyle ability into the powder and have a mad time.
  10. Thanks Bushpig! I had a look at that earlier and didn't find anything, I looked again and there is a charity match on the 12th. Unfortunately I can't make that, but that gives me some hope there are more matches in that period. Cheers
  11. Sopranos is still going?! Awesome... They haven't had it on in Aus for a long time, I thought maybe it died. Great show. They toned it down a bit the last season i saw. Or maybe I had just matured...
  12. Haha ocean i know what you mean about the Truman Show, everytime i think i'm being watched i remember the movie... it really makes you think doesn't it. I saw Hotel Rawanda last night. Might have already been mentioned? I recommend it, anyone who doesn't know about what happened in Rawanda should definitly watch it. It was of those sad movies where you really think about how lucky you actually are, and how inhumane people can be. I think the truth of the story really makes the point. Who else has seen it?
  13. Hey everyone, I watched the Sumo addictivly whilst in Japan last two visits and would really like to see some matches. Unfortunately I'll be in Tokyo between the Jan and March tounraments. Are there any tournaments on in Tokyo in the first half of Feb? I'm not bothered if they are national or amatuer, just anything really! Thanks for the help! Cheers, Steve PS - Loved that crazy Mongol last time!
  14. Lost is a great show, not sure about Japan but we're a while behind in the episodes here, still haven't started season two. I've been downloading them myself after they are aired in the states. (The DL trick). But there is a break until Jan 11th til the next episode! Bloody Amercians have SO MANY breaks in their tv shows! I was having a look at the Lost forum, its crazy how many theories there are on the show. Some people get REALLY into the show!

  16. If it was out of those two, and nowhere else was an option, i'd definitly go Rusutsu. Its WAY less tracked and has some excellent off-piste terrain. Not many people go into the trees. LAt year i spent a whole day in one big hillside of trees and only saw one other person go into the trees. It was epic and the best day of riding i've ever had. The powder there is awesome too, even though it might get a bit less that Niseko.

People enjoy different ski areas around the world for different reasons. Niseko has great powder and people go there because of it. Not everyone is an expert skier and Niseko might just be perfect for them. couldn't agree more, we don't ALL drop into vertical rock surrounded chutes and hike backcountry peaks
  18. hey newcomic i replied to your post on ocau, good to see you signed up here! we should have a beer or a ride there
