I have a friend who is in Fukui and his house is shafted now. Hes having to live with another teacher at his school because his needs a lot of work done on it to be liveable again. Bit of a nightmare - made worse by the fact he has only recently arrived and can hardly speak any Japanese

Seems so. If there were developments, when do resorts make that kind of announcement? They year before, the fall, ? I suppose a new lift or something like that would take quite a long time to make anyway, so people would know.
