  1. Yet another fine fine Captain Stag post! What would we do without them. I dare not think!
  2. Wonder what happened to flights that were on their way, still a long way out.
  3. As much as I love winter, it's always good to get to spring and have a bit of a rest in some fine weather. So I'm feeling good.
  4. Thats a good idea actually, didn't know about those.
  5. Just on News Station that guy from Tepco announcing that they made a mistake with how much water there was in somewhere. Sorry don't know the details but the idea was that less is bettern. "Sorry it wasn't 20cm, it was 5m". They don't seem to be as switched on as we would all like do they these dudes.
  6. The general feeling from what I am hearing on the serious news here in Japan, seems to be that with all the problems there seem to be every single day, those time frames are very optimistic.
  7. I hope thursday is ok and nothing has happened to him. But frankly his runaway posts had been getting increasingly offensive lots of the time. So perhaps if he came back, a bit less caustic.
  8. That last one is amazing! Just taking it slightly too far, perhaps.
  9. I thought it was fun - my friend has a 3DS and when it hits the sweet spot it is a really good effect. I can't see me wanting to play it for a prolonged time, but short blasts would be fun. And you can turn the 3D thingy off as well.
  10. This is 'sobering' to say the least: Quote: Oki warned that increases in seismic activity, especially of the inland type, have been historically noted before and following plate boundary earthquakes, although she said it was difficult to determine whether it had any relation to the magnitude-6.7 earthquake that hit Nagano and Niigata prefectures early Saturday. "Plate boundary earthquakes happen every 100 years or so, but one of this magnitude happens only once in 1,000 years," Oki said. Yuji Yagi, associate professor at Tsukuba University, said an earthquake of this scale coul
  11. 9.43pm GMT: The level of radiation at the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant is "1,000 times higher than normal," according to a report by a Japanese safety panel visiting the site.
  12. Great that you guys are always so positive about moving forward all the time and more so even excited by it.
  13. If you read the posts you would know that it wasn't about "non smoking" as such, but the fact that most places are not smoking dens that you need gas masks to survive in. You know, coming from your ludicrous "most Japanese smoke while dining" comments. People walking around will quite easily find places.
  14. Haha, knew that would be your response. Nope. You'll only twist it round and come up with some more nonsense. You know, as you do, so there's no winning and I'm not actually in a competition and it doesn't matter to me. Just if someone wants to really know, give me a shout, though in reality you should really have much of a problem finding them.

  16. There's not many places that are smoking dens. You'd expect some izakaya type places to be. Go Native is just exaggerating to make his point as usual. He smokes himself and so is also inclined to go to those places or certainly not avoid them. If someone wants to know of places that aren't smoking dens, there's tons. Just ask me and I'll tell you some.
