This will be really uncool, but I watched Dumb & Dumber at the weekend and was laughing a lot. Some really funny stuff in that. I hear the new "prequel" is terrible.....

I usually get through a book on a plane. A lot of preparation goes into deciding on what book that will be The Chosen One. A wrong choice, a book that turns out to not be the real The Chosen One, and the 10 hour flight becomes hell. If The Chosen One has been chosen well, then the flight goes by quite nicely, thank you.

I've got another 3 weeks. Do you ever meet anyone you know at the airport? There must be lots of people travelling back on the same days in early summer.

On the TV just now there was a very helpful guide as to "how to use an air conditioner". In it, I learnt the following very useful tips that I feel I should share with you: - it is a waste to keep an air conditioner turned on when you are not in the room. It saves money by turning it off; - the room doesn't get as cold if you set the temperature higher, and saves you money. Useful don't you think? I am thankful for hearing this advice, as I wouldn't have known these "secrets" otherwise. Has anyone else learnt anything as useful on TV that you feel should be shared?
