I think you've got to give it more than 2 minutes there though spook. They can be interesting. As someone who loves Shawshank the movie, it was very interesting to hear a lot of background about it in the commentary. I enjoyed the King Kong one as well. I can imagine Spinal Tap is funny - I know some of the extras on that dvd were as good as scenes that made the movie. I haven't seen some of the recent Christopher Guest movies but really want to. I think the latest one is called For Your Consideration (?)

When I have been up there in the past, the snow that fell overnight was probably the best I have ever experienced. Incredibly light and dry, you couldn't make a snowball with it. I really want to go back there, maybe not this season though.

And as we are finding out this season, thats what matters!

I was in Yuzawa before last weekend, friends were at Kandatsu and so I spent half a day there. Wasn't very good at all. I think you need to go higher this season to get the decent stuff. There weren't many people there, it felt quite sad actually.

I am going up to Hokkaido to check the snow out up there, taking a few extra days off to avoid the busiest time.

I got some omiyage from someone that is really good. Small boxes of cookies with Eriya (and Tokyo Nakano) written on them. I really like the cheese flavored sticks. Very nice.

Weekly forecast for Tokyo is cloud/sun all the way. Thats what they said in the same piece.

I saw the report which said that there has not been any snow in Tokyo this season yet. If it snowed today in Tokyo it would be the 6th latest hatsuyuki ever. If it doesn't snow by 10th Feb, it will be the latest snow ever recorded in Tokyo. I think they also said that there has never NOT been any snowfall in Tokyo in a season until now.

Funny, I love the dancing. Mrs Jim laughed as well. I used to watch SNL a lot when I was a teen. I felt ever so grown up. Hardly seen it at all for years.

goodgallon that surprises me. I'm used to seeing people pull over way too early and when it is not really necessary to do so when an ambulance is on the way. Which on reflection is much better than what you described!
