  1. Yo Barok, I can`t pull off no FS Indie 360 or any stuff like that but can I hang wit y`all? Is there like an entrance exam we have to pass in order to join the cool gang?
  2. Depending on where you go, I guess. When I was up at Tazawako I was surprised to see the place was very much an old school ski resort(meaning mostly skiers). Same goes for Nozawa and Myoko Suginohara. But the most lopsided place I`ve been to so far this season has got to be Hotaka Bokujo in Gunma Pref...I swear it was 90% boarder/10% skier(no joke)!
  3. Oh Ocean, I thought you`d be up at Nozawa yesterday...I was looking for a guy with red helmet. Haven`t visited Shirakabako Royal Hill(sic)in ages. Do they still have a decent board park?
  4. Just like I had expected Nozawa wasn`t too impressive. It rained pretty hard til about 7am. In the morning the lower part of the mountain was kinda hard but later in the afternoon it all turned to slush. Yamabiko area had some decent pow left til about 11am(kinda crowded though)then it all went down the toilet...bumps and heavy(read dangerous)snow. Riding the #1 gondola wasted about 30min of my time and WHAT IS UP WITH JAPANESE CUTTING IN LINE?!?! I can imagine why some of you like Nozawa Onsen so much. On a fine day Yamabiko would be killer and those 2 long runs(Skyline and I ca
  5. Hahahaha...why me? And what might I be doing to that poor child? I`ve gotta get me a good PR agency.

  8. Well, let`s do pray the temperature stays below zero when I`m there tomorrow.
  9. Quote: Originally posted by grungy-gonads: Resting today, off to Nozawa tomorrow I`ll be there tomorrow too. It`s raining all day up there today. Ain`t got a choice...if I don`t go there then I probably won`t be able to go at all this season. Hope the snow won`t be too slushy. Look out for a bald gaijin in Speedo...just kidding!
  10. It looks like Nozawa`s gonna suck when I finally make my way there this weekend(Sat-rain/Sun-sunny).
  11. Quote: Originally posted by db: that is a pretty gay orange jacket that the patrol dude is wearing Funny, I thought that dude wearing the orange jacket is Barok?
  12. My buddy up at Iwatake just sent me an e-mail saying it was snowing pow today and tomorrow looks great too...I hate him!
  13. Can we order the video online, or will there be a toll free number?
  14. I`m going on the 2nd, actually(please god, no rain). Thanks for all your input so far. I shall take them into consideration. Don`t think my friends and I will dig those freebies. We`re willing to cough up some dough in order to receive more enjoyment in return. So, where is the best place to park?
  15. If you want to check out Kagura it`s better to head straight for the Kagura ropeway station instead of going by Dragondola from Naeba b/c first you`d have to go through Tashiro. The connection is gonna be a bitch...probably take you about 50min(after getting off Dragondola)!
  16. Hurray! Going to Akakura Onsen for the first time tonight...hopefully it`ll be a good day for pow!
  17. Really? I thought they only make bindings&boots... I`d also like to find out more about this.
  18. Hey y`all, check out www.engrish.com. I gaurantee you`ll be bustin` up!
  19. They`ve got one up on top of Niseko Annupri. It caught my experienced boarding friend and I by surprise and we thought we were both gonna fall flat on our asses the first time we got on it. I never got comfortable with it. It`s kinda freaky if you ask me...
  20. Speaking of Nozawa, my buddies and I will head up there the first weekend of March. It looks absolutely huge...any tips on how to approach it in order to maximize my enjoyment(not off-piste, though)? Also, what`s a good spot for soaking afterward? mtia
