Located off the southern coast of Iceland, the island of Elliðaey (now colloquially known as “Björk’s island”) is uninhabited – save for some roaming cattle and nesting birds – and remote, only accessible by rope, boat, or helicopter. It's quite the artist's sanctuary. Word on the Interwebs is that this house doesn't actually, in fact, belong to Icelandic singer-songwriter Björk. Apparently, the house is an exclusive hunting lodge for puffin hunters of the Elliðaey Hunting Association. Frankly, we weren't even aware that puffins were hunted, but there you have it.   3. I saw a cutting cost version of Anzen Taro the other day. He wasn't a full-bodied chat, just like a thin cutout. No moving parts either.
  4. Those images of the black tsunami going over the plains of Sendai and then all the houses being washed away as one. Crazy images still. Crazy that it's 2 years ago as well.
  5. I've done that road from Ishiuchi to Tsunan the 353. No worries. Nice road actually and out of snow season the Kiyotsukyo gorge is quite interesting.
  6. Wonder how many people have moved out of Fukushima in the last 2 years. Rational or not, I know I sure wouldn't be sticking around, though as my family are not from there and an 'alien' I suppose it's easy to say that.
