  2. http://www.snowjapan.com/e/japan-ski-town-maps/yuzawa/yuzawa.html
  3. There are about 10 resorts within 15 minutes of the main station.
  4. Mattaus, I have turned the PMs on for your account so you should now be able to use them. Thanks.
  5. I have not been around this area as long as SJ1, but I can only remember that one year when it almost did actually disappear. From what I remember they usually keep it under control there. Lets hope it's another one of those years!
  6. Thats great. I was certainly not implying that everyone came here because of what we have done - just that there is interest in the UK and we have helped out with numerous organisations/projects where we can in order to try and let the world know about Japanese winter sports.
  7. Oh yes, amongst other things of course, we - ie. SnowJapan - have done a few things in the UK in the last month or so. Despite the exchange rates, there is certainly a lot of interest.
  8. Welcome to the Forums. If you have not already read it, please read our Links Policy http://www.snowjapanforums.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/243164/Links_policy.html Thanks
  9. Yappy, it is near to Shiga Kogen. More info here: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/features/snow-monkeys-of-jigokudani.html
  10. We get loads. And yes, it is very annoying. Other than being annoyed, it sometimes amuses us how some people feel that what they have to say would interest us. They quickly get put onto automatic spam lists.
  11. Looks good! Unfortunately, can't report the same for Yuzawa this morning...
  12. That's right. It will be back, but right now we are fully occupied trying to get some other things online as soon as possible - and they are much more important than a Classifieds section of the Forums. Once we have cleared the work we are currently doing (and perhaps taken a few minutes rest), we will then get onto this issue and work to get them back online. I the meantime though, please do not post Classifieds in the other Forums sections... wait until the Classifieds appear again. Thanks.
  13. Don't know the answer to that right now TB, but once things get started we will be checking all the links in our Webcam Center and update as necessary. Unfortunately sometimes it takes a while for them to get going. (You'd think they would have them going as soon as possible, but... doesn't happen that way sometimes!)
  14. You're welcome. BTW, we will be having the forecasts and resort snow depths data on each of our resort pages - similar to how we have had in previous years, but with a few changes planned. More on that a bit later....
  15. Here is our webcam from the office - that will update every 5 minutes during daytime. It is heavy rain right now in the town. http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/webcam/niigata/yuzawa-town-webcam.html We will be updating the Yuzawa Now and Naeba Now pages regularly from now on.
  16. It depends Liveintokyo. Kagura plans to open on the 22nd and while right now there is no snow, snow is due today into tomorrow and hopefully they will be able to open. Just do not know for sure now. Keep your eye on our Yuzawa Now and Naeba Now reports which will be updated daily from now...
  17. Just got the webcam from our office working (it was being very un-cooperative for a while there) http://www.snowjapan.com/e/daily/webcam/niigata/yuzawa-town-webcam.html Rain now in town but hopefully it might be a bit whiter tomorrow morning.
  18. There are. We'll be posting how to get some in the next few weeks so stay tuned... got to get some other stuff seen to first.
  19. I don't know why they are not appearing either. You can upload photos to SnowJapan and then link them in from there: http://www.snowjapan.com/e/insider/login.php http://www.snowjapan.com/e/insider/photo_gallery.php Thanks.
  20. ((This is actually MikePow's post!)) Some great views on the way up of the terrain between Kurodake and Asahidake, at 2290m the highest peak in the Daisetsuzan Mountain Range and on Hokkaido. After the obligatory summit shots it was time to drop in. The snow was windblown in parts with a 15-20cm breakable crust and boot top dry powder in others. The pitch was consistent and steepish, high 30s, and fast. Yours truly skiing from the summit of Daisetsuzan Kurodake Unknown riding from the summit of Daisetsuzan Kurodake Glen Clayd
  21. You can check out various rental information right here on our site: Rental http://www.snowjapan.com/e/niseko-guide/niseko-gear-and-rental.html Good luck.
  22. Quote: Hmm...I posted a reply before but for some reason I can't see it. (It must not have posted properly as nothing has been deleted)
