Great that winter has returned in March. The second half of February was getting way too springlike.

Lovely photos muikabochi as always, some great ones this season too I see.

There could do with being a big long underground tunnel between Myoko and Hakuba.

Nah, stuff can be useful and fun in the sticks as well. You're probably just a dinosaur averse to change, like those employees of the Niseko resorts.

Places like Ryuo Ski Park are fairly close too. Even Madarao Kogen and Nozawa Onsen not far.

Shame to hear about that one not opening. I fear there will be more stories like that.

Well, in places like where I and muikabochi live (correct me if I am wrong muikabochi), foreigners are very rare. Outside of ski season you would be hard pushed to find another one. More than 10 years ago, but still very few. Cities will of course be different.

Fake snow for fake skiers. Seriously, lets hope you can hunt down some REAL snow.

I know a few locals who want it down. It always reminds me of Planet of the Apes. That little stretch of road that this is at the top of really needs livening up. I haven't been up there for a while but last time I did it looked like it was a row of about 10 abandoned/closed down shops. Sad. But Madarao seems to be giving it a go and it's a decent place, so lets Madaraoing.

I haven't been over there for a while, but generally getting older I would think. There was lots of talk but as far as I know nothing has happened.
