HeatherLocklearRocks 1
It's just been on the news. The first semi (cicada) for the year has been heard. Bloody hell, that means it's hot. Hate them things.
brit-gob 9
I think I saw the same, they were saying its a special kind of semi, harusemi and its not really too early for him to be out.
Ocean11 0
Bit off the subject, but worse than real cicadas are those tapes of cicadas they play in the aircon sections of leccy shops. Anybody who thinks 'marketing' like that works must have rocks in their heads.
big-will 7
Actually, they are the only kind I like. At least it's cool in there

me jane 0
I hate semi!!! There are so many in my apartment complex. I sometimes have to put up my umbrella to walk through the trees. I got hit in the face twice last year by blind ones flying into me! The get trapped in my stairwell and bang against my door at night. They make me late for the pub cos I can't get out of my house. Then when I get home from the pub I can't sleep with the windows open cos they are too noisy. They come a close second to cockroaches on my hate list.

When I lived in Osaka I always heard them in summer. So when i heard them, I thought summer had come. I have never heard them here in Hakuba. Only heard Higurashi maybe?
