giggsy 0
I know it seems redhot in Japan right now, but when is the peak of the heat? Now or still to come? When do those temps start to gradually fall? Bet you all can't wait for that!
sava 0
Usually the peak is about 1 month after the summer solstice so things will slowly begin to cool down now (and in the southern hempisphere, warm up).
gamera 0
I think the peak is at this time of the year. Perhaps after Obon time, it will get cooler little by little but still hot and humid even sometimes in September.
sunrise 0
I've always found that August is the hottest month.
dale#1 1
Yep August seems hottest. September when I feel it cool off - just a bit.
2pints-mate 0
Well us in the UK are still in July but just think Japan dudes..... the month after next will be October! Isn't that just cool to think about?
gamera 0
lol.. 2pints,mate I think you never know how hot and humid in big cities e.g. Tokyo , Osaka in summer. You've been here only in winter once, right?
sava 0
When I went to Japan when I was younger I didn't find it to be that hot early Sept...
SKI 15
It cannot come to early. I find September for the most part hot. October is when I start to get happy.
happyhappy 0
Definitely. Japan now is very uncomfortable.
cheesewoman 0
I always think September is still really hot sava. It is only when it gets to late in the month that I feel it cools down a bit and really only October when things start getting comfortable again. And of course I suppose it will depend a lot on where you are as well.
mattlucas 0
September is the worst. I have to start wearing pants to work again so the heat is that much worse.
gamera 0
Eh? Toque you wear pants only in Sep.? Nakid in other months? Stripper alert, police!
BagOfCrisps 24
Long trousers I think he means gamera.
gamera 0
Ahhhh... I see, thanks BOC It's kinda confusion when I use words originally from other languages like that. Perhaps "pants" could mean troucers as well in English but in Japanese "pants" usually means underwears like boxers and briefs. Seldom mean troucers. (Troucers=Zubon in J") BOC, you can never say "You are smart!" to chubby Japanese ladies even if you feel one is because "smart" usually means "slim" in Japanese, never means "wise" lol.... You will be slapped if you say that to any chubby J ladies, be careful!
window-cleaner 0
I try not to speak to any chubby J ladies. Just kidding of course, love 'em.
giggsy 0
Is it the same word or just the pronounciation?

rach 1
I've got less than a week left before I'm back over there. So...... has it turned yet? (Say yes, say yes, say yes....)
mattlucas 0
Yes it has FT was up at my house on Saturday night and while we were sitting on my patio drinking beer I contemplated changing out of my wife-beater into a t-shirt And for the record. I'm sitting at my desk at work wearing only a t-shirt and socks. That's right. ONLY a t-shirt and socks
soubriquet 0
The socks are to keep your feet warm, right? Err, are you wearing the socks on your feet?
