Metabo Oyaji 71 Posted October 18, 2012 Share Posted October 18, 2012 Going back one: Always wondered if Seibu had plans back in the bubble days to link up Ani & Moriyoshi and develop more terrain up there. They get tons of snow and with those ridges between the two areas the place looks like it could be an even bigger Rusutsu (new side). Looks like there was originally a plan to link the two sides. From Wikipedia: 当初は森吉山山頂までゴンドラやリフトを掛け阿仁側・森吉側をつなぐ大スキー場構想があったが、環境保護派の反対もあり、当初計画よりかなり低い地点でのゲレンデ開発となり、山頂開発計画は断念された。 Oh well. Link to post Share on other sites
