BagOfCrisps 24
Gone quiet on this. At least it seems that summer holidays aren't going to be affected.

panhead_pete 27
If you were working for BA when would be the best time to strike? Periods of peak use - Summer and holidays? Looking into my hairy palm here as some predictions: Germany wins the World Cup. BA is back on strike before the end of August. A foriegn company makes a bid on BP All things most Poms wouldnt like to see but may just.
Tubby Beaver 209
do people really care if BP is actually British or not? I'd actually like Germany to win the World Cup, they've played some good football and don't look tired like the rest of the teams.

Same reason as TB for Germany - played the best football deserve to win. BA striking in summer is as British as strawberries and cream at Wimbledon.
big-will 7
I think people only care about BP in that lots of pensions and stuff is tied up in it. Not the "British" bit. And that affects a whole ton of people all over the world. In fact, is it not now officially "BP", just that?
thursday 1
yeah, BP for BRITISH PETROLEUM. Remember when BA painted their planes with just BRITISH on the fuselage? Great it was Just to make sure the terrorist don't get lost. Or do they still do that now.
thursday 1
ahh, no. They've added the "Airways" back.
scouser 4
Don't remember that. But I did think that BP was officially BP. And not officially British Petroleum.
RobBright 35
Thought they changed the name after they bought out that american fuel company. Amco, Amoco or something?
thursday 1
So what does B and P stand for now? Big Prick needed to plug the hole?
panhead_pete 27
At one stage when sustainable development first become the new buzz tem in their annual report (2002 I think) they were claiming it was "Beyond Petroleum".
NoFakie 45
BA are still charging loads more for UK-Japan flights if you start the journey in Japan. I hope they go under.
big-will 7
Some good deals on business class - compared to other airlines - if you want to go that way though. But I have no affection at all for them either.
grungy-gonads 54
Are they worse than other airlines in that respect, Mr Wiggles?
thursday 1
They are worse. There are many airlines who do it much better. But if I had to choose between a Chinese airline or BA? I'd take the train.
NoFakie 45
Probably true grungy, but lots of wrongs....
pie-eater 207
I'm going business again. Only cost 320,000 yen. Beat that! I remember once paying well over 200K for economy. 'll do me.
RobBright 35
320,000?! jeez.
griller 9
Is that a "wow cheep" or "wow expensive" jeez? Sounds pretty low for business on a long haul to the UK in peak season.
thursday 1
That is a very reasonable price. Shame it's for BA.
pie-eater 207
BA or not, the Club World seats I had last time were really great. I really enjoyed it, for once!
