muikabochi 208
Hmmm, modern remakes and good don't usually go together do they.

HelperElfMissy 42
Going to book into Gold Class for 2012 I think.... I am going to a rather 'out there' Alice in Wonderland themed 40th Birthday - next week... will be an experience and a half!
gareth_oau 2
MB, "The Day After Tomorrow" is on 7Two on Saturday night if you need a reminder of the last half-decent disaster movie. TDAT was produced/directed by the same crowd that did 2012
HelperElfMissy 42
Oh I KNOW! And seeing as it is not yet 5am, and I am wide awake , even after I found it difficult to fall asleep last night - and didnt until about midnight.... I will be ticked off if I fall asleep half way thru!! LOVE TDAT!
klingon 10
That director seems to do nothing other than big disaster end of the world type movies. Does look fun though. I thought Day After Tomorrow sucked after the big effect scenes.
Tubby Beaver 209
2012 looks pretty good. Think we had a thread on this a while back, how the Mayan calendar ends on Dec 21st 2012 and they say that it will be the apocalypse. seems a ftting way to celebrate my 32nd birthday!! HelperElfMissy 42
Ha ha Scouser! I meant that Tubby's birthday could be quite an apocalyptic event! But thanks for the reminder of the 2012 thread
IIIII 2
I love those big great effects disaster movies, however silly they are. Until there's all the cheering and backslapping and dramatic music at the end when they all pull through. Too much cheese, especially when flags are also involved.
HelperElfMissy 42
The big rousting speech delivered by the "President" to the pilots on Independence Day was cringe-worthy for it's cheese level.
