bibowj 0
Hmm well Ive not boarded in Japan YET, Ive hit every good resort in the rockies sooo Ill say , in order: -Overall length of the runs. I HATE a 2 min run, followed by a 25 min line up to repeat. - Quality of the snow of course. - and length of the season...ie. how long they stay open later in the year.... its-a-clock 0
Length of runs and lifts yes. But seriously... bunny lifties rather than ojisan lifties. Very important.
samurai 0
pitch, snow, terrain, price, food & accom, apres ski, eye candy. in that order.
TomatoThrower 0
More than anything else decent snow. Can't do with 200m slow lifts that go nowhere. Decent length courses
spook 0
well planned lifts long runs varied terrain trees
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan#Andrew 6 Posted July 23, 2007 Author SnowJapan Admin Share Posted July 23, 2007 Thanks for all the feedback both on here and in emails. Any more most welcome!
grungy-gonads 54
Trees are good for scenery but I'll generally keep out of them thank you very much. Long and varied runs is what I like more and more. Nice snow bunny lifties rather than the old ojisan with the brush are an extra bonus at any resort. I especially liked the appropriately named Yuki in Nozawa.
SirJibAlot 0
Yea, Yuki was pretty hot....
snobee 0
Good cheap wine & bread for the morning, lunch & afternoon break. Oh ....and no crowds, long runs, good snow and fast lifts.
thursday 1
yeah, I like a bit of wine in the mornings while on hols.
me jane 0
Long runs Fast lifts Well laid out lifts (not a fan of walking or skating) Outside seating for lunch (hate having to get all my gear off & on) Childcare (Seriously though, it would be a huge help to have info on which resorts have facilities because I won't be going to those that don't for the next two or three years)
bushpig 0
definitely it needs snow
Curt 1
Long runs Fast lifts No need to walk or shuffle uphill. Definitely.
SirJibAlot 0
Snow is important...snow is good. Without snow, you could 'grass board'?
Kneel 0
Apart from snowfall, it would be size, courses and the lifts not being annoying.
Thunderbird2 0
I tried grass skiing once - just the ones will be enough of that, thank you!
fiifii 0
Snow (regular, fresh), long varied courses and not too busy.
yamaha 0
I don't like moguls, I like long cruising/fairly challenging but smooth courses.
muikabochi 208
I will go for "enough snow" after a few experiences last time round
i9i 0
I enjoy long cruising runs as well most. Need to be steep enough to get some speed though. My favorite place is Myoko Suginohara.
Mrs Egg 0
I need a good challenge and I suppose that is the most important thing to me. As other people have said if the lifts are annoying it can really ruin a day.
